Great place for boogie boarding and general swimming. Had shower and bathrooms. Pier is fun to walk on. Saw many children jumping from it. No snorkeling, but great for a fun beach day. Watch toddlers carefully due to shore breaks.

A must see for all visitors to Kauai and the Northshore. Bring your camera to capture the magnificent views of the pier, the surrounding mountains, water falls, beach, etc.

The pier was rebuilt after the hurricane. Instead of wood, it is now metal. But the beauty of the Bay and the surrounding mountains remains. Well worth a visit--and a swim.

It was a late afternoon when we found this Pier. It is known for surfing, but apparently not in the summer. It is found after searching in a residential section of the town of Hanalei. There were portable potties with doors left open and trash about. The parking area was extremely muddy and full of pot holes. The overall experience... More

Decided to go here for snorkeling. Very calm water. Good for novice. Parked right on beach. Bathroom left something to be desired. Picnic tables were ok. Stand up paddle boarding look easy to learn here. We were built there pier and I couldn't find any fish. Not sure if we were in the right area. Great views.

So much fun to jump off the pier. Went to the beach on a Thursday afternoon and it was so sparsely populated, which was fantastic. Pretty sand, you can walk out pretty far in the warm water. Loved this beach and the pier makes it extra fun.

This was my favorite beach in Kauai. You have beautiful water and beach and also you can see waterfalls on the close by mountains. It was easy to find street parking for free.

We went to visit the Hanalei beach and pier in the evening. The waters are very calm and the beach is full of families and young kids. The view from the pier is excellent with great sunset and majestic hills with overhanging clouds. The beach is flat and long and nice for walks apart from a swing. A really enchanting... More

A pier is always cool. Sometimes exciting and sometimes blah...But always cool. Whenever visiting, try and see the sights Pier is actually kinda blah, but originally built in 1892-- ya gotta give it credit. Imagine what the Hanalei life was like back then and a pier's importance. Today there are locals fishing, locals surging and everyone local and tourists enjoying... More

Beautiful views that will take your breath away. I could sit there all day and soak up the Na Pali coast. Watch the sunset from the pier, it will change your life.
