The viewpoint to see this magnificent valley is in a pull off area in a sharp curve. Be looking for the parked cars or you will be by it before you can do anything. You can see the valley from here as well as the...More

Amazing views right off the main road on the way into Hanalei. There is just a little pull off - no signage. Just stop when you see cars!

You really must stop here! Beautiful views over serene fields and towering mountains with mainy waterfalls after the rains - you feel like you are seeing original Hawaii. Ample parking too.

If traffic is bad, don't worry if you miss it or can't stop. One of those things to do if nothing else pressing.

Not a lot of parking (as with most Kauai overlooks) but just a picture perfect view of Hanalei Valley. Mountain backdrop with taro fields below.

Wonderful vantage point to get a real feel for the Hanalei Valley! But be careful. I didn’t fully trust others who were sightseeing to not watch where they were going....

We used the Shaka Guide for a drive of the north shore and it advised us to stop here. It’s a beautiful look into the valley and so green. Just be careful pulling into the pull off area to park. Between traffic in both directions...More

The overlook is simply a viewpoint or pullout at the side of the road. There are no trails or walkways involved. There are several places nearby in Princeville, in Hanalei or the lighthouse where you can walk with a pram.
