Awesome!!! This trip to Kauai was my birthday celebration. The plan was to focus more on exploring the island and being "conservative" with excursions. HOWEVER, the sunset cruise was worth every penny! The dinner was delicious, drinks (yes adult beverages) are included, the sunset was beautiful, the ride on the high powered catamaran was exhilarating AND the added bonus, tons of dolphins and lots of whales up close and personal. The Napali Coast is a must see. I highly recommend Kauai Sea Tours. Oh and my captain (my apologies can't remember her name) was a beautiful petite lady full of energy and handled the boat with ease! If you get her and her crew, you are definitely in for a treat. Cruise date 01-28-20.

Awesome adventurous tour. We gambled with the winter swells and trade winds in November and booked a raft tour anyway. If you're fit and healthy, this is the tour to take if you want something a little more sporty or to push your comfort zone! Thankfully weather cooperated and Sky and Noah were able to charge us forward in some fun sized swells most of the way up the Napali coast, even seeing a few pods of spinner dolphins and bottle nose dolphins along the way out! It was a little scary for my girlfriend who hasn't spent much time on boats but having grown up on them myself, they kept us perfectly safe and everyone was having a great time hooting and hollering on the bigger waves. Captain Sky even showed off his driving skills to get us in close to some of the caves and waterfalls which was a nice touch. I'm sure if you do this tour in the calmer summer months it wouldn't be nearly as scary and they probably hang out longer in the caves and arch on the coast to snorkel.

We still had decent snorkeling on a nice reef with lots of fish and even a few turtles down on the south side where the water was calmer.

If you ask me, the bigger boats/catamarans induce sea sickness even more than the smaller rafts so that's something to consider. But you do have to be strong enough to hold on and your back will be sore after a ride like we had. Water, lunch, and snacks were provided. Overall had a great time and would book with them again!

We had an amazing time on our Napali Coast tour on September 27th. Nohili and Landon were incredible, they were knowledgeable and fun and made sure everyone had a good time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kauai, the advantage to taking this zodiac tour is that it can fit into the caves when weather permits. The other bigger boats can't and they just point at it from the boat while we were inside enjoying ourselves. Mahalo Kauai Sea Toura for such a memorable experience!

A friend organized a birthday dinner sunset cruise - it was supposed to be a 60'catamaran, but instead we were given a 40' catamaran with an engine. We were told the Napali coast waters were too rough, so stayed on the south side. We did see a couple whale sightings and some dolphins. Dinner was a bento box with cut up steak strips or pulled pork and rice w/vegetables that was lukewarm, and should not have been called "dinner". They didn't have Mai Tai drinks, only wine and margaritas, and soda. Crew drove so fast through the water that it wasn't possible to have a drink without it spilling. The cost of this was $130 per person which was Waaay too much for what we got... it was not enjoyable. If it had been my first time on a dinner
cruise, I would have been very disappointed.

Kelly we’re so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy yourself. The ocean can be unpredictable this time of year, which could account for the change in direction. However, I can think of no excuse for being seated on a vessel you didn’t sign up for. I hope you will give us another try. I’m leaving my email in hopes that at some point you do. We take this very seriously and it will be discussed within our company, as we are constantly striving to improve and make EVERY experience, a five star experience. Dre@kauaiseatours.com

Showed up at 645 am on 2/9, captain Greg at 715 am tells us we wont be going up to Napali Coast bc of bad weather. Gave us the option to reschedule or cancel. We were told the south part of the island is also gorgeous and has good snorkeling. That was a lie! The snorkeling was the worst, there was nothing to see. The southern coast line is nothing close to gorgeous. We want our money back!

If your tour cant go to napali, cancel or rebook. The crew on the lucky lady was very nice. We were bored for 5 hours bc there was nothing to see or do until we saw whales in the distance and dolphins. But thats not what we paid $165 per person for.

Yashita- we’re really sorry the tour was diverted. The ocean conditions and weather can be unpredictable this time of year. When the ocean is rough, or it’s been rainy, there can be a murkiness and low visibility while snorkeling. We understand, you did not enjoy yourselves. We are happy to offer you and your guests passes for your next tour with us. Kauai is an exceptionally beautiful place, all year, throughout the Island. That being said, your frustration and true disappointment are so valid in this situation. We hope you will be able to join us at a later date. I’m leaving my email if you’d like to discuss further. Again, our apologies Yashita. dre@kauaiseatours.com

I booked a Nā Pali snorkel adventure tour on a Friday for the following morning, which was the final day of our Kaua’i trip. I received a confirmation and signed the waiver. I had shopped around for tours and while I could have chosen another operator I decided on this specific one because it had good reviews, met my requirements, and we were departing just five hours after the tour ended.

I was very surprised when I received a call after I had woken up at 5 a.m. and departed my hotel for the tour. The representative apologized and indicated that there had been a “glitch” in their booking system and that even though I had a confirmed reservation for two people there was no room on the boat. She offered another slot the following week, which didn’t work because I was leaving that afternoon.

I completely understand that mistakes happen and that sometimes they can’t be avoided. However I was very disappointed that Kauai Sea Tours did not take responsibility and offer to compensate us in some fashion for their failure to uphold the booking terms. While they refunded us the cost of the tour, since we were only on Kauai until the evening, we were unable to book another tour. When consumers make bookings, these bookings represent commitments on the part of BOTH the customer AND the operator. While KST imposes consequences on customers for failure to cancel within a specific timeline or not showing up to a tour, the company does not appear to believe that the concept of accountability applies both ways.

Again, I understand mistakes happen, but given the other reviews on here I would have expected a more customer friendly response to a mistake that prevented us from experiencing what we viewed as an essential part of our short vacation. We relied on KST when we could have chosen another provider, and we regret doing so.

We appreciate your understanding that errors do occur. There have been a lot of changes to protocol and our system during these past few months. This is no excuse, as I said to you over the phone, we are deeply sorry for this terrible mistake and inconvenience. We stand by our offer to discount a future booking, should you return. Take care and stay safe. Aloha

We had another snorkel trip cancelled on the north shore of Kauai due to the mudslide blocking off the road to get there, so we scrambled for anyone with availability who was going along the NaPali coast snorkeling in the “winter” months. We got lucky that it was Kauai Sea Tours!

We booked the ‘Imiloa Express (‘Imiloa means discovery with a sense of adventure). This type of catamaran handles the larger swells fantastically. NOTE: we love adventure and the ocean was medium choppy so our boat had a lot of movement and spray. We thought that part awesome, but if you want a smooth, dry boat ride, book this coast in the summer lol).

The coastline was staggeringly beautiful. We had several large pods of spinner dolphins close to the boat during the excursion. Saw a few whales at a distance and Capt Greg took us to his second favorite snorkel spot because when we got to his first favorite, the water was murky. Our visibility was great and we saw some fun fish (no turtles while snorkeling). The water was beautiful and comfortable temperature. A few people stayed on the boat, and they could still see a lot of fish because the water was so clear.

They had breakfast snacks for us, and lunch complete with a homemade cookie. Beer and wine and Mai Tais after snorkeling.

Capt Greg and his crew (Kai and CJ) were the best! Full of great information about the area. Kai gave my husband dining and other recommendations, as well.

It was a fun, exciting, gorgeous excursion that I highly recommend to people up for adventure!

We researched several sea tour companies that offered a sunset tour with dinner. This one did not disappoint. Kauai’i, our Captain, and his crew Chemo, Ethan, and Poi were attentive and exceptional. And this Captain, he’s got skills, his boat handling techniques were excellent and gave you very close looks at the Napai’i coast. We saw whales at 100 yards, as close as the boat is allowed to get, sea turtles and Dolphin right next to the boat. The dinner served was excellent and well prepared. Snacks and drinks were plentiful and alcohol drinks on the way back were perfect and also plentiful. Sunset was gorgeous over the Pacific!!

Our booking was originally for the Napoli Coast catamaran dinner cruise, however there were high winds and our captain “Kaua’i with a name so long I can’t spell it!) rerouted us along the south coast and partially up the southeast side of Kaua’i. We were not disappointed with this detour! From the time we left the harbour we saw dolphins swimming and jumping near the boat and humpback whale activities in the distance. It was amazing! The views along the south shores of the island are lovely. Kaua’i, the captain gave lots of local information as we cruised. Matthew, Cameron and Rico the 3 crew members were always around to answer questions, serve drinks, etc. The snack and dinner were delicious and there was an assortment of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic for everyone. It was a memorable afternoon. Thanks.

What an amazing day at sea with Captain Kaua’i (like the island)
We started off the journey with a beautiful sunrise, sailed along the west side on Kaua’i while learning about the history of Kaua’i and surrounding islands.
We were served a delicious breakfast, played with some dolphins that followed our boat (the lucky lady, by the way) and got some excellent views of the coast while getting close enough to view the beaches.
I do warn that two of my friends got sea sick, but I think that’s because they weren’t watching the water, and that’s likely to happen on the ocean for those with a weak stomach. I recommend taking Dramamine before you set sail. The crew was so patient and helpful while they waited to feel better!!
After all of the breathtaking views we saw, we went snorkeling among some beautiful reefs below the towering cliffs, and had fish and sea turtles swim right up to us.

Thank you so much for one of the best days on our vacation, you guys rock!
