Staged but fun, VIP was great, host was a hoot

We bought the VIP package as others have stated, table service, clear our dishes, get drinks and desert, and our service was excellent. Hosted by Hoku, he was a charming lounge... read more

This was the best luau i have been to. I am still thinking about those coconut flavored sweet potatoes. YUMMY. I upgraded to VIP for the five of us. Well worth the price. My daughter LOVED IT.

We upgraded to VIP for valet parking, all you can drink beverages, servers and it's well worth it. We didn't get special check in however if you don't get cup you will wait in long lines for drinks and eat last. The place is big so we all waited. The staff is super friendly and the food is great. The... More

Came with family as part of a birthday celebration and throughly enjoyed the evening. Choose the VIP package for the extra benefits and think the extra $29 was well worth it especially considering how expensive the base ticket is to start anyway. Better view, better drinks and great service made the VIP package tops. The food and the show was... More

We bought the VIP package as others have stated, table service, clear our dishes, get drinks and desert, and our service was excellent. Hosted by Hoku, he was a charming lounge style singer that kept the show on pace and got the crowd to hula...we kinda chuckled when he got started, but he was so authentic and very Hawaiian, that... We went to another luau on the Big Island several years ago. That one had the audience moving from place to place, and a more natural feel of a party. This was definitely a staged show, with a hostess and a storyline. The dancers were good, and the quality of the entertainment was too (though corny). The food was average.

We went to this Luau because it was part of our package and were disappointed. We have been to other luaus, the best being on Maui. If you pay for this luau, it is not inexpensive, $119 per adult. For $26 extra they offer better seating and appetizers. They don't tell you that you need to pay the extra money... More

This was very professional and focused on Hawaii and the Big Island, unlike other Luau's that try to do the entire South Pacific. Great food, Great dancers, more guys than most shows, great fire dancers! Very kid friendly. Great for families!

I can't believe I just paid $475 for 2 adults and 2 kids. The food wasn't bad, but they needed someone to check for flies is the food. The audio SuCKed! Could hardly hear them talking in the back. The mics would cut out and squeal. This place was packed and at over $100 a person they could afford to... More

You sort of have to do this once! Expensive and tourist-y, but fun. Being honest, the food is quite poor. Best to try a bit of everything. Mostly dry and overcooked, my favourite was the cured meat. Our server kept us well supplied with cocktails, which were good. The band is very good. The show is fun.

Expensive, but fun as long as you expect the touristy show. Only go for the upgraded seating if you plan to drink a few cocktails. Otherwise, pay the regular price and get in line for admission early. You pay for cocktails and don't get table service, but, since it's a buffet, that's not really a significant upgrade. The buffet food... More
