This beach is closed due to repairs

Not sure when this beach will be open. Lava Lava Restaurant is open -- not the beach. Heck out with your hotel before planning a day out here.

We really loved A Bay. The beach was amazing (at least the part that was accessible). It was under construction while we were there which was a bit frustrating. But we could still get to the beach and loved to just sit out here. It was a nice and relaxing place to be. The water was warm, the waves were... More

Great, laid-back beach that doesn't get too crowded. Palm trees and loungers available (loungers are from the Marriott property at no cost). I've been here many times before and love that there are always turtles to be seen. It can get windy in the afternoon, so plan accordingly.

Anaehoomalu, nicknamed A-Bay, was suggested by our snorkel gear rental company for good, easy snorkeling and a sandy beach. The Waikoloa Marriott is on A-Bay, but as in all beaches in Hawaii, there is public access. We were unable to use the more convenient entrance to the beach because of construction at the Marriott, so we followed directions given at... More

I just got back from a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. The Waikoloa Marriott's beach is on Anaehoomalu Bay, and we experienced the Bay on two glass-bottom boat rides from the beach. Offshore the Bay is not especially deep--we saw lots of coral, about 6-12 feet down, along with small but colorful fish and a couple of small... More

Stand on the sand and watch the sun go down. It's an amazing place and we were happy to find it. So peaceful and not overly crowded.

You drive on Waikoloa Beach Dr. and turn left on Kolea Kai Circle, and inmediatly to your left there is free public parking by the Kolea apartments with a paved walkway to the beach. The beach is gorgeous with a lagoon full with fish, manta rays and sometimes green turtles. At the time we visited part of the beach was... More

Nice beach but full of tourists from the Waikoloa Resort. Lava lava Club is located here for Happy Hour or sunset drinks. If you're not staying in Waikoloa, skip it and go to Hapuna 10 minutes north.

Small bay beach accessible to the public from Waikoloa Beach Drive. Pretty for photos, pretty at sunset, warm calm water. The beach was closed during our stay, but was still accessible from the Lava Lava Beach club.

Arriving in late afternoon and was told the beach was closed due to construction. We were re-routed to an adjacent beach in front of the Marriott. The beach there (and also at A beach) was pretty narrow, not much sand and lots of pebbles in the water. Not a good sunning or swimming beach. We did some snorkeling offshore and... More
