My wife is a superb glass artist, but these artists are in another league. We scheduled our visit to Volcano this year to make sure the gallery was open (Thurs. through Sat. I think). My wife tackled me when I reached for my wallet.

This is a small, high-end glass company. You can watch them (if they’re working). Their products are incredible. They’re expensive, but not necessarily that expensive. I looked at a couple of items and expected them to be over $1,000. Instead they were around $400. If you’re looking in that price range, you will find some incredible work here.

I have lived on the Big Island my whole life and drove past the 2400 Fahrenheit Glass sign on the road many times when driving back to Kona. I always wanted to stop, but never had time. Luckily, we stayed in Volcano on a staycation and we made sure we had time. It didn't disappoint. The glass art is stunning! They had some beautiful expensive pieces, but they also had some smaller pieces that were very affordable. I got a few gifts for family there and they all loved them.

You must turn off of Highway 11 and take a short drive down a side street to get to the shop. The personable owners display their creations in a little room right off their studio. Beautiful and creative art pieces!

While this is a small gallery, and it is a bit off the beaten track.. this gallery is a gem.

Visited the gallery on a day when they were not blowing glass. Michael was very friendly and helpful. The pieces on display are absolutely breathtaking. The work is original, colorful, and shows tremendous imagination and craftsmanship. There are also some wonderful items under $200 to go with those that have price tags that reflect their quality and artistry. This is worth a stop even if they are not creating pieces that day. Wow!

I dragged my reluctant husband to this shop I read about in one of the local tourist magazines. If he was glad we stopped, so will you.

I bought a blown glass tide pool, surrounded by black glass like lava rocks. So creative and beautiful. Paperweights for gifts. Amazing modern glass designs to for that special space at home or office.

Shop is small but filled with fabulous work made right there in the converted garage studio.
