We seen the reviews on here and we were sad to hear he was in Hilo, when low and behold we saw his stand on the corner and stopped for a quick snack before dinner. Great pick me up and without a doubt he is a staple of this area! Highly recommend!

Same great dogs just different location. This new location lacks the atmosphere of the old one. He used to have a few guys hanging around swapping stories & playing crib, just not the same without them. .

Not only does this :Guy: serve wonderful hot dogs, his little stand has been the essence of Pahoa's "hippie/fun" vibe. We went to the Hot Dog guy coming back from Kapoho Tide Pools. We had some hungry boys. This guy is originally from San Jose, Ca. (many years ago) and then moved to Alaska. Middle of nowhere and your come to a fork in the road. This is a great quick stop. It's a local hangout with great simple hotdogs and witty banter. By the time you come back to the corner it's all gone so stop when you see it!
