Our guide - Gary - was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge The caves are breathless and Gary kept you amazed and informed throughout the 1.5 tour (me) and the 3.0 tour ( my Nephew) It is worth every penny and will be one of the top visits of your stay in Hawaii

This was the highlight of our trip to the Big Island. A fantastic tour is done by a guide that really appreciates the natural beauty of the caverns and has a lot of knowledge about them. It was a truly remarkable experience and an opportunity to see one of the more special and unique elements of the Island.

This was a bit off the beaten path, but so glad we found it. We spent a little longer and did the tour called "the crawl" -- well worth the time and reasonable price. Our guide was very funny and full of great information. The first part of our tour included a family with two young kids (for the first... More

We lucked out, and were the only people on the tour! Gary, the manager, was our guide, and we couldn't be happier! He was funny, pleasant, and extremely well informed about so many things regarding, not only the caverns, but the whole area. We had so many unanswered questions about things we had seen during the past week, and he... More

If you love adventure and maybe a bit on the wild side this is a must do. I went on the guided one hour tour just for the experience and I was not disappointed. I live here and have never done this before but my life motto "You gotta try everything at least once" proved amazing and just down right... More

My husband and I took the 11/2 hour tour this past Sunday. Our guide was amazing and so informative. You get a guided tour of the inside of these lava tubes, you wear a hard hat with a light on it, gloves and knee pads as you will spend a good amount of time crawling around these caves. If you... We visited Kula Kai caverns on 1-1-17 and had Emanuel as a tour guide. We took the basic tour which was a lot of fun and drank delicious water dripping from the tube's ceiling! The tube is well preserved and Emanuel explained a lot of scientific artifacts therein. Price for two adults is $41 total, which is worth it for... More

We were staying close to Ocean View and wanted something different to do so called up Gary and booked the 1 hr tour for the next day. We were so glad we did. Gary is what makes the tour so fantastic. He is passionate about the geology of the caverns and has a wealth of knowledge. We learned so much.... More

Gary the guide was wonderful. Talked about the geology of the cavern and had a lot of interesting stories to tell. The lighted part of the cave is small but large enough to see what lava tubes are. They have longer cave tours that are for hardier people who don't mind a little crawling and walking on uneven ground. The... More

My husband and I were so glad we did this. Gary was an amazing tour guide and made you feel welcome with suggestions for other things to do and see on the island as well as answering all of our questions about the island. We booked this last minute and were so glad we did. You will be, too. (We... More
