About
An authentic, diversified family farm. We specialize in hand-crafted, artisanal, 100% Hawaiian products including macadamia nuts that are dehydrated rather than roasted so they taste more like the fresh macadamia nut right out of the shell, unique varieties of chocolate-covered macadamia nuts, award-winning 100% Ka'u coffee, several varieties of natural Hawaiian honey and buttery Tropical Shortbread cookies. On a visit to the farm you can enjoy free samples of all of our tasty treats, and you can meet the farmers, take a free self-guided tour (including our Aquaponic greenhouse), take a scenic and educational guided tour, and learn about honey, coffee and macadamia nut production. You can also meet our 4 parrots and see a variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers growing in our fields and gardens. We also have clean bathrooms, beach showers, free WiFi, and USB charging stations available for visitors.

- jenniferRed Deer, Canada15 contributionsCute little farm, a hidden gem!We found this place by accident on our way to green sand beach and we are so glad we did! Such a cute little farm! They will give you a map when you arrive that will walk you around the farm to see the gardens and birds. There is a cute little art shop there too. Once you are done wandering around they will give you samples of all their macadamia nuts, chocolate and honey. These were the best macadamia nuts I’ve ever had. They dehydrate them instead of roasting and it’s amazing! They also have a shower for you to use after you visit the green sand beach if you like!Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 14, 2024
- 133KrisOttawa, Canada23 contributionsCome for Coffee samples -- stay for lunch!! Nice low-key ambience near Green Sands BeachWe were drawn to this place by the offer of free samples of macadamia nuts and coffee and ended up staying for lunch at Ama's food truck. Great fresh tasting food harvested locally (the cook husband catches the fish) , had the fish tacos and split a fish burrito. Very filling, homemade meal. Did the tour and saw the local animals (Including Penny the pig) then came back from samples and bought some bags of nuts to take home. They even have a shower to rinse off the sand after the beach (we stopped on way back from Green Sands Beach) There is a low-key friendly (not fancy) ambience and the staff are nice. A hidden treasure just a mile off the Hawaiian Belt Road (#11)Visited December 2024Traveled with familyWritten December 6, 2024

We sampled and then bought macadamia nuts and coffee, and had tasty tacos from the food truck. We wandered the grounds a bit, we were there about an hour. We (like many) stopped here on the way back from South Point. It was a hot day and we were just interested in a couple of cold drinks. Well, $50 later...we couldn't say no to all the free samples of chocolate and macadamia nuts! And they were all delicious. Shannon did a great job of showing us around and even threw in some freebies. How nice of her. Definitely worth a stop!

We were so glad that we stopped. Paradise Meadows is on the road to South Point, just off the highway. I've driven past it several times, thinking it was just another farm stand, but on this trip, with my niece, we decided the stop. The people were very warm and friendly, and we were offered samples of everything, nuts, chocolate, coffee, honey. They have maps to allow a self-guided tour of their eclectic farm, which grows a variety of crops. They also have an Artist in Residence along with a small gallery as well as some tropical birds, which are all rescues, re-homed on their farm. I'm not from a rural background, but they seemed to be practicing very sustainable agriculture. It's a great place to walk around, sample some artisan snacks, and meet some great locals.

Stopping by Paradise Meadows was the best spur of the moment decision I made during my trip on Big Island. Raceyn was a absolutely phenomenal describing the different products. As well we thoroughly enjoyed trying all the different free sample items. The prices were extremely fare-a cup of DELICIOUS coffee for only $3! I’m a huge gourmet coffee enthusiast and I am highly impressed with the coffee and all products (the dark chocolate is to die for!).

We happened upon this treasure on our way to south point. So glad we stopped. Hard to even describe this place—truly one of a kind. Coffee, macadamia nuts, honey, chocolate…endless samples…and then there were the delightful feathered entertainers! Original artwork and super friendly staff completed an outstanding experience. Left with a big bag of Local Buzz goodies that might not make it home!

A perfect lunch stop!
Ate lunch at co-located Ama's Kitchen. Then we browsed the chocolate, Macnut offerings. After trying samples we loaded up on several bags for gifts. My favorite is the dark chocolate + tropical fruit + Macnut bark!
Ate lunch at the provided tables, visited the aviary and checked out the art gallery.

We had such a great time at Paradise Meadows! We took a tour of the farm and got to see the crop fields, the coffee and macadamia nut processors, and (best of all) got to get up close with the bee hives!
Our tour guide was very informative and friendly. When we saw the bee hives, he let us get up close while at the same time clearly explaining safety protocols.
We also bought some macadamia nuts and chocolates and they were *amazing*. The cinnamon bun crunch in particular were probably the best nuts we’ve ever had!
Could not recommend more!

We did not find it to be an interesting stop, with some free samples and expensive nuts and coffee. A quick walk through the shop and neighboring grounds took about 30 minutes. Just not exciting or interesting enough to recommend other than average.

This folks is well worth the visit. We stopped to use the Rest room and enjoyed our visit so much with Leonard (“the Irish Hawaiian”) we wanted to tell everyone about the place. He has great Macadamia nuts with a variety of flavours. And a great mix of dark and milk chocolate covered nuts. His coffee is an award winning taste that is very good. Take the time folks and stop it will be worth it. Leonard is an incredible host and has stories that will amaze you. Thank you Leonard for our visit.

Aloha Kimberly,
The tour is absolutely free. Just be sure to tell the person who greets you that you would like a tour. It's on-demand and as long or short as you'd like it to be.
