Located on 24 beautiful acres in Mountain View, midway between Hilo and Volcanoes National Park, stands our farm, roasting building and retail sales facility. Come take a full tour of the farm (aprox. 1.5 Hours) or a mini tour (aprox. 20 Minutes) in our roasting room. Either way, it's fun for the whole family and you'll learn a lot about coffee, farming and even a little history. Kids won't even know they're learning because it's so much fun. Before or after your tour, be sure and enjoy a fresh light meal, using locally grown fruits and vegetables. We have one of the best Portuguese Bean soups around. Our hours are: Tuesday: 8:00am - 4:30pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8:00am - 2:00pm Sunday, Monday, Wednesday CLOSED If cruise ships are in port we will also be open on those days, until 4:30pm!. If you're here on a Saturday, be sure and visit our small farmers' market with big aloha, where you'll find some real treasures, great produce, a wonderful breakfast and some great local music. It truly is Mountain View's Favorite Gathering Place. Every Saturday from 9:00am until 2:00pm. We'd love to meet you!

Great roadside stop

Friendly folks let us sample 3 coffees and several sweets. Ended up taking home the Chocolate and the Pineapple coffees and chocolate covered macadamia nuts. I'm glad we stopped!

We stopped into the Hilo Coffee Mill purely by chance on our way to hit the saddle road because they had a sign out front advertising that they were a coffee shop. We were not disappointed. We were greeted by a pair of friendly employees, one of whom was giving out free samples, and the Macadamia Nut Butter was great.... More

We stopped for breakfast and coffee on our way out. The latte was delicious and try the ham/cheese/egg bagel with the wasabi mayo on everything bagel. I wish I could've had more. I'll be trying that at home too. We bought some coffee for friends and family and it was all very good too. Worth a stop.

Aloha jules_travel55857, Mahalo for taking the time to share your visit at Hilo Coffee Mill. I'm so glad you liked our housemade wasabi mayo. It is very popular on our 'Millworks' bagelwich. And a great idea to buy some fresh roasted coffee for family and friends! We roast on site, so the coffee is always fresh. And we ship too!... More

I stopped here as part of a tour with Island Wide Family Tours (take that tour!). The mill served delicious samples of unusual, local products and had a great coffee bar. I bought some delicious mac nut butter to bring home! A fun stop! Also, this is accessible and has restrooms.

We stopped here as part of a tour. It's great to see proper hand picked coffee being processed and to try some really smooth coffee. You can also buy and ship coffee and other stuff to the USA and rest of the world. If you are passing I'd recommend calling in

Aloha Joe, (That would be a great name for a Hawaiian coffee, however someone already has that name!). Mahalo for your kind words and for sharing them with other travelers. This was a stop on a tour and it was great. The coffee was excellent and the service was great. The coffee mill was very interesting and had a lot of interesting facts about coffee. We loved it, the smell and the taste.

We stopped here during a tour of sites around Hilo. The owner gave us a brief introduction to coffee been roasting and processing. It was actually quite interesting. We had coffee there and it was very, very good. They have a little store with a variety of local products. A bit spendy, as is the bagged coffee for sale, but... More

Aloha and mahalo for your comments. I appreciate you taking the time to give us, and other travelers, your valuable feedback. And I'm glad you enjoyed your time with us. It's true that the perception of Hawaiian coffee is more 'spendy'. Yet, a cup of 100% Hawaiian coffee can cost $.43 as compared to $.25 for an other world origin... More

The coffee tour and tasting was well worth a stop on the way to the volcanoes. The owner and her staff were all so accommodating. The coffee presentation was very informative and there was a darling gift shop that ships goodies home to the mainland.
