We took the Bay Tour with Dylan and had a great day. We truly enjoyed the beautiful snorkeling, interesting historical and Hawaiian history lesson that Dylan gave and beautiful views kayaking. Off course you can rent just the kayaks and paddle over yourself but with the tour you can land on the monument and picnic (there are limited amount of... More

With limited permits available for access to this pristine snorkel spot, Kona Boys provides an excellent way to experience this historic and beautiful place that was named by the Hawaiians as a "pathway to the Gods." Our guide, Dylan, did all the heavy lifting to help us embark on the 1.2 mile paddle across the bay. The fresh snacks were... More

We recently did the morning magic Kayak and Snorkel tour to Kealakekua Bay with Kona Boys. Tyler was the best guide we could have! He was super chill and very helpful with everything. Exactly what a guide in Hawaii should be! He was great with our boys and we all loved every minute of the tour. This was unanimously everyone's... More

We had the BEST time, with Ben as our guide. We took our time, created our own 'pace' and navigated the Pacific waters with ease! The water was crystal clear and we could watch the fish below while Ben provided history on the outrigger and how early inhabitants of Hawaii traveled more than 2,000 miles in one to reach these... Thanks to Tyler at Kona Boys for a wonderful morning at Kealakekua Bay. Check in at the Kona Boys shop was quick and easy and the team there was very helpful and friendly. Bought some nice reef safe sun screen while there. We then headed down a scenic road to the kayak loading point where we met Tyler who had... More

Fantastic small group kayak tour across the bay to Captain Cook monument. Along the way we were provided with interesting information on the importance of the area to Hawaiians. Snorkelling was exceptional with amazing visibility and a big diversity of marine life. The packed lunch was tasty and plenty of drinks were provided. Our tour guide Tyler was very obliging,... We did the early Morning Magic Keylakekua Bay Kayak and Snorkel Tour. Met at their really cool shop before the tour to be fitted with gear and listen to a short explanation/directions how to get to the bay. Drive down to the bay is incredible in itself - winding road with beautiful views. Parking lot was almost full by the... More

We rented a kayak from Kona Boys, so we could kayak and snorkel in Kealakekua Bay on our own. The clerks were very helpful. They provided a detailed briefing and a map outlining how to get to the kayak landing. They also provided a map of the area where we could kayak and recommended the best places to snorkel. This is... The B&B owner we stayed with recommended Kona Boys for a snorkel and kayak trip for me and my 12yo son, and we had a blast! Our guides Ali'i and Tyler were kind, fun, and super knowledgable about the area, history, culture, habitat and activities. They put everyone in our group at ease immediately (including my son who has mild... More

This may have been one of the most beautiful, and terrifying experiences of my life. I am terrified of the water (well, really just drowning in the water), but decided it was time to pull up my big girl panties and do something crazy. I booked the tour with Kona Boys and their guide, Ali'i, was perfect. I told him... More
