Our experience renting a double kayak from Kona Boys was outstanding from start to finish. Frank, who got everything prepped and ready for us at lightning speed, was also really informative and friendly and his attitude toward the ecology and wildlife was really respectable. The gear was top knotch and returning it was a breeze. We kayaked Kealakekua Bay, and... More

This was the first activity of our vacation and the best. The only thing that could have made it better was if we saw dolphins. It is hit and miss but even without them, it was a fun excursion. We met at the shop and got fitted for our snorkel gear. Then we drove to the loading area on the... More

Wow, what an amazing day :) Our guide Tyler was awesome, he really knew his stuff and we really appreciated the historical information that gave special context to our day and the land we were exploring. From the moment we arrived and until we left we were really taken care of and made to feel really comfortable. We had a... More

This tour with Kona Boys is a bit pricier than some others but way worth spending some extra money. Our guide, Tyler, was the best! He had wonderful knowledge and respect for the area, and he made the day easy, fun, and all-around perfect! Tyler made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, no matter what their skill level--he's an awesome... More

We used to rent from the local down at the bay, but since that's gone away these guys did a great job giving us gear that worked and plenty of extras: dry bag, tie downs etc.

Kayaking and snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay was the highlight of our trip to the Big Island. Our guides Kristen and Alii were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable throughout our tour. We were able to see dolphins and a variety fish in crystal clear waters all within the impressive views within the bay. The provided lunch was delicious and all the equipment... More

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time on our guided kayaking/snorkel trip with Tyler. Tyler is awesome. He is so knowledgeable and equally as friendly. He made sure that everyone was safe and having a good time. Once we kayaked out to the Captain Cook monument, we had roughly 2 1/2 hours of snorkeling time. He also brought a... More

I use the Kona Boys every time I come to the big. Not only do they have the best equipment their staff is top notch. Big shout out to Tyler and Justin for making our trip extra special. My girl had never paddle boarded and just a few instructions she was paddling like a pro. We use their surf shack... More

My wife and I had an unforgettable experience thanks to Kona Boys and our guide Tyler. We spent the day (about five hours) kayaking, snorkling and learning about the island. We saw several types of dolphins, a huge array of reef fish, and traveled at the pace we wanted. I can't recommended these guys enough. They care about the island... More

Stopped in here for a quick browse. They seem to offer an array of SUPs, surf boards, and snorkel gear for rent and sale, as well some cool clothing, hats and stickers. I think I might have to return to pick up a few items I scoped out. Drop in on your way by.
