I really like this venue. Many people I know go there very often. Seems there is always something going on for everyone. Check the schedule, and go and have fun! I love this area, the sound of the Coqui frogs at night is lovely!! They have drinks and snacks available, it is run by great, friendly volunteers.

I love old theaters from the days of big marquees and beautiful lobbies. They have specials shows on the weekends. You can;t beat the big screen.

Saw Kuana Torres Kahele there last night. He and his two backup singers were set among the sets of the next play but it made it all the more charming and local an experience. They even sell treats and booze! This is a great way to support the local arts and we are so lucky to have taken this concert... More

The Aloha Theater is an historic building that houses the Aloha Performing Arts Center (APAC). Under the direction of Jerry Tracy, they put on high quality plays and musical several times each year using local talent. Although they are amateur productions, the quality is high and the energy of the cast and crew are apparent.

I’m a theater buff but never thought there would be one on the big Island. I was wrong. The Aloha Theater was a surprise and while it’s not Broadway, it was a nice night out after a day of fun in the sun. The program varies but I caught a pretty decent production of “Young Frankenstein.” They also teach theater... More

We had time to kill and saw a really nice performance of A Christmas Carol last December. We did not reserve in advance but last minute tickets are easy to get. Since it is a small theater, most of the seats have a good view of the stage. The theater is more frequented by locals who all know each other... More

great place to go for a show. The theater is old and needs a complete overhaul. But for Hawaii history, this place has been here forever...

We just saw The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee performed by the local theater group. There was an amazing amount of talent among the non-professional actors, and the quality of the performance was excellent. The theater itself is also very nice, and city folk will be delighted by the reasonable cost and the free parking. I hope to return... More
