Everything, including the surrounding is well maintained, with emphasis being on conservation. It has a small museum with interesting bios of erstwhile ranchers who were responsble in establishing it. The highlight is the bi-weekly farmers market, which is well attended.

A nice small museum dedicated to preserving the early Hawaiian paniolo (cowboy) history. There are a lot of vintage saddles, bits, spurs and other memorabilia.

Worth checking out to get a feel for the cowboy culture of Waimea - best to go on Wed or Sat when there is a Farmers market there so that you can even enjoy local food.

This was very interesting. Includes paniolos from all islands. And admission is free during the midweek farmers market.
