We loved our trip to the ranch! The food was wonderful and the entertainment was excellent. My 6 year old daughter loved running around feeding the horses grass and feeding the pet pig. We practiced branding wood and even had s'mores by the fire. Excellent family adventure on the hill tops of the big island. It was cloudy so we... More

Wednesday evenings they have a Sunset Dinner. Bus transportation to most resorts is included. Big John was our host and was very welcoming at the ranch. Unlimited soda, juice and wine were included in the all you can eat buffet dinner. There was live country music with dancing and line dancing. We learned how to rope calves, got to brand... More

The bus drive up to the ranch from Kona took in some awe-inspiring scenery of the mountains and the lava plains below as we made our way up the 3000 feet to the ranch. The day was very clear and so we were just able to make out the observatories on the top of Mount Kea. There was a warm... More

Have been coming to Kona area since 1992 and have passed the entrance to this ranch many times. Took taking newbies to the area to get us to this attraction! Although there were two busses full of other tourists, and many like us with our own vehicle, the crowd was not difficult. They have the event down to a science.... More

We had a great evening of food, entertainment and Hawaiian culture and history. It began when we were picked up in very comfortable bus and transported to the Kahua Ranch . During the trip, we had the opportunity to view some very educational and interesting video about Hawaii and the history of catlle ranching and its place in Hawaiian history.... More

Spend a fun day day at a Hawaiian ranch, go horseback riding, learn how to lasso, or have a flavorful ranch style meal. Nice scenery too!

Great dinner, lots of interesting facts about the cattle industry and a generous open bar made for a wonderful evening under the stars. Be sure you bring a light jacket as it cools quickly after the sun goes down! Live music, dancing etc.

I went on this tour as I thought it would be a nice night out. It was. The food was good, with alcohol included in the price. The ride by bus too and from the location was included as well. At a cost of $138 per person ($276 per couple), the price is rather steep for what you get.

This was our second visit to Kahua Ranch. Our first was an event for the Nature Conservancy. We chose Kahua Ranch for a private "Crew Appreciation Day" for our staff. The Western-style Barbeque and related activities were exactly what we wanted for this event. They arranged for a bus to pick us up at our shop in Kailua-Kona, and deliver... More
