This place was really neat - it had plenty of shade and was definitely family friendly. There was just enough surf for a boogie board, but a little too much for snorkeling (as is to be expected in the winter). You do have to pay...More

Easy to get to from our hotel. Clean family beach with restrooms showers etc. We came for the snorkeling, which was perfect for us. Pretty calm water and lots of fish. Trees w/shade on the beach.

We visited Waialea Beach, aka 69 Beach, in the morning, on a weekday. By 9am, the beach was already crowded and the parking lot was half full. The tide was receding so the sand strip was still narrow. There are toilets and showers available. All...More

This is a great beach for families and snorkeling! This beach offers shade, great snorkeling holes and not too many waves for the kids. Great spot!

Nice beach, clean, good facilities to rent and food/drinks available. The water wasn't that clear or warm and the beaches in Australia are better than this. Lovely for photos and to tick off the bucket list.

A secluded beach with good snorkelling and a backdrop of shady trees. Get there early because it gets crowded. Also water is calmer in the morning.

Most people advise you to go to Mauna Kea to snorkel, but this place is much better and off the beaten track. A small out of the way road to get here but parking is plentiful ($5 fee) and there are nice bathrooms and a...More

Best beach in the area if you want to just hang out or snorkel. Lots of parking, but get there early, if you will be there during the weekend. Head down to the left if you want shade and a home base to snorkel. If...More
