Most people advise you to go to Mauna Kea to snorkel, but this place is much better and off the beaten track. A small out of the way road to get here but parking is plentiful ($5 fee) and there are nice bathrooms and a...More

Best beach in the area if you want to just hang out or snorkel. Lots of parking, but get there early, if you will be there during the weekend. Head down to the left if you want shade and a home base to snorkel. If...More

Nice beach. Limited parking. Lots of shade. Saw wildlife. We saw a turtle about 20 yards from shore and a very colorful eel.

We tried snorkeling here, which was not the best. The overall feel of the place was quite acceptable. Some shady spots for those who like to get out of the sun. Swimming was good. Easy sand entry.

Best snorkeling I’ve had in ages. Easy in and out w sand at your feet plus plenty of reef to watch the fish. Great shade. Private and family oriented.

I am getting to the point that my favorite aspects of going to the beaches in Hawaii is for having interactions with the locals who take their family to the beach, or as a couple. Tourists are just a bunch of fat annoying imbeciles that...More

I don't understand why a public beach would require non-residents to pay for parking. Only 1 parking lot. Beach is nice and post card pretty. Not very big but seemed calm. About an hour from Kona.

Smaller and quieter than Hapuna Bay but just as lovely a place to swim. Some nice white sand but also some rocky areas where people were snorkeling. Not sure what they were seeing as we didn't have our equipment with us. One thing I really...More
