Great for families and people with young children. The tide was not high and you could really relax in these waters. It wasn't the prettiest but seemed the safest

This is a beach for families and older folks. There is a lot of Disabled parking and easy access. Beach is dirty and snorkeling is poor, but easy swimming and people watching are good. Free admission is a bonus and lots of shade and picnic tables people share. Friendly place.

Great spot mid-week, lovely beach with very good facilities. Try to visit near high tide because of shallow reef just off-shore, and be sure to have your reef shoes or flippers on, because there are sea urchins. I had an accidental brush with one. If you should happen to, pull out spines and soak in hot water with Epsom salts.... More

We visited the park first to check it out and then a few days later to have a picnic lunch. The park has really nice uncrowded picnic facilities with numerous tables and related facilities. The beach is pretty and on the smallish side but has nice sand and little surf. It was peaceful and not crowded. Good for families. Ample... More

This is a nice calm water beach location. Has a few trees for shade, nice bathroom facilities with showers. People camp out on either side of beach. Rocky areas to both sides, people seemed to be snorkeling. Has bbq pits available

Great facilities for families, picnic, barbecue, volleyball , some camping spots, washroom facilities on beach that is sandy and tame enough for little ones. Adjacent to historical park with walking trail that has good signage/information. Amazing fortress construction. Excellent road and parking.

The guide book advised this park was trashy. The park people must have read the review. It was very nice. A good place for families.

Spencer Beach is a public facility that provides easy access and very safe waters for folks of all ages... the slope of the bottom is gentle and the sandy bottom is kind to your feet as well :) There are picnic tables and large trees that provide shade, along with a spacious restroom with showers inside private stalls. Campers will... More

This public state beach is perfect for families with small kids - it's uncrowded with little or no surf and facilities close by including showers. The sand is not quite as fine as some of the other beaches but still great for toe wiggles or sand castles. A couple of extra bonuses - there is a wonderful historic site with... More
