Great market
Dec 2020
We enjoyed visiting this market. Due to Covid it's on the small side. The vendors had nice quality produce and products.

Great Stop
Feb 2020 • Couples
Really enjoyed driving up here on Saturday morning. The market is quite small, but has a cool selection of coffee, fresh cheese, handmade bags and food. We had a delicious crepe with shrimp, avocado and artichokes. Yum! Also drove up into the beautiful hills, and walked around the cute town. Hit this on our way to the Wailaia Lookout, which was awesome.

We enjoyed this so much!

This was a great place to shop and meander about. You can get just about anything here, it’s really an awesome place to vacation. The pizza is delicious, everyone from town goes crazy over this! Also, the wonderful veggies were home grown. These folks know how to grow a garden : )

The BEST farmers market in Waimea.......
Aug 2019
There are several farmers markets in Waimea ....but......this is the BEST......the vendors are friendly and have good products at a more reasonable price than the other markets. Small but a good selection of things.....great plants.....tasty bread....and mini-museums to visit

I thought it was a more interesting mix of vendors than the town market.

We hit the town market first and it was decent, we then hit this market.

What I noticed for myself.. I was looking at things I could make for dinner while at the first market and passed over many items because I could envision a complete meal to prepare, once I hit the second market and the selection they had, I was able to connect all the dots and had to travel back to the first market to complete my recipes.

Honestly, those were the best meals we had while on vacation.

Better selection of vegetables at the town market, but items like arugula, sourdough bread and pizza crusts, along with other items were at one but not the other.

Going to just one of the markets is like only getting to shop in half a grocery store.

I made Bruschetta with caramelized sweet onions, local cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, with a balsamic reduction and local basil, on slices of toasted white sourdough.

The same bakery was selling a white sourdough pizza crust that I made a GJ's Huli Huli chicken pizza, with caramelized sweet onions, a pesto sauce made from macadamia nuts and arugula, with grilled local squash, sliced cherry tomatoes, goat cheese and sprinkling of the basil and arugula over the top.

From the onions, other leftover squash, baby carrots, other herbs and vegetables, making grilled dishes that were perfect for side dishes for the wild fish and steaks I would make.

No way would I have been able to create what i did without hitting both markets that Saturday morning, along with hitting GJ'S further up the road going out of Waimea.

Wonderful farmers market
Mar 2019 • Friends
We had a lovely time at the farmers market this morning. We arrived soon after opening and loved all the booths. We ate breakfast at the Red Barn door food truck. The grilled cheese and tomato soup as well as the Avocado toast with bacon were delicious. We also got a half papaya at one stand and hot drinking chocolate at another ( I got the dark chocolate, my sister got the Mayan and both were yummy). Lots of folks brought pups (we are missing ours quite a bit so we got some dog time) and the chickens wandered freely. Beautiful flowers, art, and produce. Easy to follow roadway signs to find this farmers market and easy parking. Not to be missed.

Really enjoyed the local flare of this farmers market and artists. We had organic sourdough breads, Kona coffee and a meal from a food truck that was to die for! Great acoustic guitar entertainer. Great place to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday

Amazing farmers market. Food, art, Kona coffee, REALLY friendly folks, food trucks, sweets, and FOOD! Sample before you buy - then BUY. A bit of a drive from Kailua-Kona, but absolutely worth it.

We Felt As If We Belonged To The Community

After a stop at another farmer's market in Waimea , my wife and I were heading to another destination when we saw a small sign with directions to the Kamuela Farmers Market. We parked and walked around. It seemed to be a gathering place for friends and neighbors that were enjoying lunch and conversations. We stopped at stalls and found the vendors to be friendly and helpful. We purchased a few items and really enjoyed our time there. Farmers' markets are a prevalent and another reason to explore the Island.
