Exploring Hawaii’s Big Island can be a big undertaking, but it doesn’t have to be. Avoid the stress of planning out all the details with this guided tour that includes round-trip transport, lunch, snacks, and bottled water for your convenience. Because there’s minimal walking distance during this tour, it’s perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels. Plus, if the weather gets dreary, rain gear is provided to keep you dry.

The drive to this site is somewhat out of the way, but there is adequate parking. The walk to the beach is on a paved road up top and then turns to gravel or dirt and you will need a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Even if you don't descend the path, the view is phenomenal. Because it is out of the way, there are fewer visitors, and the small towns you pass through remind me of the old Hawaii. Original experiences take you away from the typical tourist traps of more commercial areas.

The Waipio Valley is a sacred place for the natives on the Big Island. The ocean and beach scenery is breathtaking. It is worth a drive to the lookout while you are on the Big Island. It is a must-see.

The photos do not do justice to the immensity of the mountains. If you're in the northeast of the island, make sure to stop here.

Gorgeous views of the valley. A fertile, sacred and spiritual place. A top visitor attraction and a must see when you are visiting the area.

The outlook has a great view of a very impressive valley, but you just see the part where it opens into the ocean. To really get the sense of the true scale, you need a 4-wheel drive vehicle and the guts to go down the 25% slope!
