This was a waste of 2 hrs, wait, no it wasn't it was actually a waste of 1.5 hrs. We went to the pick up spot at 12 expecting a 1215 pick up. The guy was late and didn't arrive until 1230. Then he kept asking "are you all here?" I said since I didn't know who else might have... More

Met Lance at the Last Chance Store before loading up in the van for the trip into the Waipi'o valley. The road into the valley is a 25% grade and not for the faint of heart! Once in the valley we were tranfered to the mule wagon. We were treated to a very personal tour and enjoyed hearing the history... More

Very much the adventure-not for those who want luxury. With that you get beauty and nature. Expect the natural beauty of the back woods and views of cliffs and waterfalls. The van isn't fancy or cool. It's just transportation to the wagon. The wagon is an open air wagon drawn by beautiful, sweet mules. Bob was full of information about... More

Bob, our guide and owner picked us up at the Neptune Gardens in an older 4x4 van to traverse the steep ride down into the valley then crossed a water way to drop us off to wait while he went to get the wagon and mule team. The wagon was clean and comfortable with steps to get on in the... More

We were picked up at Neptune's Gardens by a friendly, personal driver in a 4x4 van. We traversed the steep, narrow road to Waipi'o Valley. When we reached the village, our driver transferred us to a mule drawn wagon where we crossed rivers and had spectacular views of the waterfalls. Our driver/guide was knowledgeable and interesting. A tour through primitive... More

Bob is a terrific guide. He knows the valley because he lives in the valley. We got to see wild horses, learn about the history of the valley. The ride is slow and comfortable the sites are incredible. We wish we could have gone deeper into the valley.

This was an interesting tour given by a long-time resident of Waipio Valley. The valley itself is a natural, beautiful place. Getting down and back up from the valley is a trip in itself, especially in the very well-worn van. Don't expect air conditioning and don't sit in the back. Really enjoyed the mule-driven cart once down in the valley,... More

Saw mixed reviews on this tour, but decided to go anyway. We enjoyed it, but I can see why not everyone does. There were 5 in our party and there was another family of 3 on the tour. The tour guide, Bob, picked us up in large modified 4WD for the trip down the road into the valley. It was... More

We loved this adventure! Husband and I are in our early 60's and our kids are in their low 30s. Bob picked us up and we descended the dicey steep, rickety road very slowly. The views were breathtaking and the road was scary but Bob knew exactly what he was doing. At the bottom of the road and down the... More
