Bob, our guide and owner picked us up at the Neptune Gardens in an older 4x4 van to traverse the steep ride down into the valley then crossed a water way to drop us off to wait while he went to get the wagon and mule team. The wagon was clean and comfortable with steps to get on in the... More

We were picked up at Neptune's Gardens by a friendly, personal driver in a 4x4 van. We traversed the steep, narrow road to Waipi'o Valley. When we reached the village, our driver transferred us to a mule drawn wagon where we crossed rivers and had spectacular views of the waterfalls. Our driver/guide was knowledgeable and interesting. A tour through primitive... More

Bob is a terrific guide. He knows the valley because he lives in the valley. We got to see wild horses, learn about the history of the valley. The ride is slow and comfortable the sites are incredible. We wish we could have gone deeper into the valley.

This was an interesting tour given by a long-time resident of Waipio Valley. The valley itself is a natural, beautiful place. Getting down and back up from the valley is a trip in itself, especially in the very well-worn van. Don't expect air conditioning and don't sit in the back. Really enjoyed the mule-driven cart once down in the valley,... More

Saw mixed reviews on this tour, but decided to go anyway. We enjoyed it, but I can see why not everyone does. There were 5 in our party and there was another family of 3 on the tour. The tour guide, Bob, picked us up in large modified 4WD for the trip down the road into the valley. It was... More

We loved this adventure! Husband and I are in our early 60's and our kids are in their low 30s. Bob picked us up and we descended the dicey steep, rickety road very slowly. The views were breathtaking and the road was scary but Bob knew exactly what he was doing. At the bottom of the road and down the... More

My wife and I decided this would be a very good way to see the beautiful valley without having to hike, set in a van or be on horseback. This tour was on June 1st. The first clue I should have picked up on was the woman I talked to on the phone was very curt and abrasive. However, we... More

I felt as if my family was victimized. We started our trip by climbing into a hot, stuffy van. My youngest daughter noticed a blanket on her seat. When she picked it up to move it, a flea circus came out and biting bugs were swarming around us. Even after alerting the guide, the van was still infested. There were... More

We decided to do the wagon ride because I thought it would be a great way to see the valley without the unforgiving hike. I am glad we didn't hike after watching many try to climb their way back out of the valley. We confirmed our reservation the morning of our trip due to the weather and we were still... More

For the money charged, $125 for two people, one would expect something of much better quality and service than received. The driver was late picking us up. We were transported from the meeting location to the bottom of the valley in a van with tinted windows and no view to speak of along the way. Once at the bottom where... More
