Very beautiful, excellent for walking and relaxing. We went with a tour company, wished we had more time to enjoy the peace and serenity.

The garden now owned and maintained by the City needs some attention and some help. It is fair for walking through but there are many Japanese gardens better than this one.

Located next to Banyan Drive in Hilo, this is a popular walking park. Great for an afternoon stroll, and very picturesque, with an Asian flair.

This was not enough to impress a teenager, but it was a good stop if you are in the area. It won't cost you money. Great stop for a picnic. Nice walk around the park.

After visiting a dozen or so potential sites, wife and I selected Liliuokalani Park to tie the knot several years ago. We now have our "special tree". Great place to just walk and enjoy the sights or to just sit and enjoy those same sights....More

Not a good idea as it does not have adequate lighting in the evening and you could turn an ankle as the surface is uneven.

There is a lovely restaurant next door, Hilo Bay Cafe, which may do functions. Lovely view of the bay, delicious food, and walking distance of the gardens.
