Easy stroll up to see this waterfall and worth it for a beautiful photo shot. The Island is covered with beauty!

It was pretty but very underwhelming during the dry season as you cannot view or hear the "boiling pots". The hike is short and easy, allot about 20-30 minutes to see it all.

Parking is rather at a premium up here at this falls, but it is worth the wait to get out and really take in the majesty of this attraction.

The Wailuku River State Park is close to Hilo and provides a great walk to visit waterfalls and Boiling Pots. Great walk with a few stairs.

The other attraction along the river is Boiling Pots. - a group of large pools connected by underground flow where water roll and bubbles. It has the appearance of something that's boiling.

Rainbow falls and Boiling pots are the 2 viewing areas. Both have good parking lots with bathroom and picnic tables. Both falls can be viewed from a well paved short trail. Don expect to get amazing pictures here, you are limited to the viewing areas....More

Upstream from Rainbow Falls and about 1-mile further up Rainbow Road, these are worth a 15-20- minute stop. Nothing spectacular, but a nice overlook minus the cruise ship crowd you may have encountered at Rainbow Falls.

You would be able at Rainbow Falls because there is a ramp that goes to the top viewing area. The lower walkway would be obstructed by the retaining wall. Boiling Pots and Pe'e P'e'e Falls I am not so sure of. I cannot... More
