We were touring Hawaii aboard the Pride of America and wanted to find a nice spot not too far from the cruise terminal where we could renew our wedding vows. This park is less than a mile from the pier and it has a beautiful waterfront area. The beach is rocky with black volcanic rock and white coral scattered about,... More

Lovely place to walk, calm, locals paddle in kayaks and paddle board. Continue to the bay, pass hotels, deli, places to eat; see Japanese garden on your left.

This area holds the serenity and natural beauty of the Island. We have our local Powwow in September in this area. There is swimming available, fishing etc.

we stop by to eat our lunch and it was quite and peaceful at the time.. we were there during the week and kids were in school. The green turtles swim near by and always are wonderful to watch.

A small park that is a good jump off spot for surfers, but not a beach. The park fills up with a lot of "locals", if you get what I mean. Not always the friendliest environment. Common place for picnics and family get togethers, but I wouldn't recommend for any kind of relaxing. Mostly for surfers and snorkeling, not a... More

This is the water recreational area of Hilo, Hawai`i. You will find a variety of places to relax, enjoy the ocean in whatever fancies you and meet diverse locals. You will be surprised by the temperature of the water as you enter. The shoreline is enhanced by natural spring water that creates brackish water. the water is generally calm and... More

Ok there is no white sand beach here just a bunch of rude Hawaiian who think they own the place, drugs and booze are rampant along with roudie foul languaged Hawaiians that have a no Haole (whites) policy. A very disappointing picnic spot. The ocean is beautiful in spite of the ugly people.
