Our tour takes you to view the largest and most active volcano in the world, the Kilauea Caldera. The Kilauea Caldera is a massive crater encircled by plumes of sulfuric smoke, and the signs of lava destruction are everywhere. The lava flows are constantly shifting, and our tour takes you as close as possible to see them. On our tour, you will walk through an actual lava tube which include extensive lava flows and Hawaii's unique black sand beaches. Later, you’ll pass through lush rainforest as our guide points out many native tropical plants, such as red ginger and ginseng. Our tours take in 10 major Hilo attractions ensuring you have a spectacular day in Hilo.

Once in a lifetime experience. We were fortunate enough to see an active volcano - even feel the heat from the open doors in our helicopter. The waterfall portion was disappointing for the price. Pleasant staff.

Miranda's Tours is by far one of the best. Mel was our guide and he made our tour truly remarkable and memorable. He was very knowledgeable and most informative. All 8 of us in our group agreed that Mel gave us a fantastic and enjoyable tour. He was always accessible and most willing to answer questions and be helpful in... More

Wonderful day tour taking in the sights of Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls then on to the Lava Tube and Volcano. Lunch is included, and highly worth doing when you visit Hilo.

We visited Volcano national park last year and it is one of the most amazing sight we ever visited. Lava tube ia amazing. Couple of days can be spent there but because we were not driving, we could not enjoy it as much. This is one activity which should not be missed while in BIG ISLAND.

The volcano bike tour was a fun outing for us and our three kids. It was very interesting to learn more and see a volcano up close. Our guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. We would have enjoyed more bike riding - it was definitely set up for the "less fit" with lots of breaks built in. However, still an... More

If you are going to the Hawaiian islands for the first and last time in your life, this is well worth it to see a lava tube, volcano, and the waterfall is nice but not unlike others. The lava tube was the highlight of this trip. The tour cost me $415 US and was very expensive because it involved a... More

This tour was great. It's an extremely long day if you're travelling from Oahu but well worth it. The tour guide was very informative and kept the commentary going to whole day, even though she was clearly suffering a sore throat. The sites you see are another thing again - lava rocks everywhere, the volcano itself, the lava tube, steam... More

We booked an all day Big Island Volcano tour which departed from Honolulu. It was by far the best day of our 8 day Hawaiian holiday. A very long day, starting with a 5am pick up from our hotel, through to a 10pm drop off at our hotel, but it was worth it. We were a small group of 6... More

Our bus driver drove passed things I wanted to see like a Japanese garden that looked amazing. Our first stop was at Rainbow falls and the waterfall was amazing. We were there 20 minutes. Our second stop was a Lava tube. That was really cool and I have great pictures. Again we were there about 25 minutes. We stopped at... More
