Weather permitting this is the best way to view the erupting volcano on the Big Island. Highly recommend the doors off version as you can really get some great pictures and views of the landscape and activity. Staff and pilots were incredibly professional and safe....More

After you make your reservation, everything falls into place according to some master template. You park your car in the lot, then walk over to lobby #2 and check-in. You will be asked to step on a small square scale on the floor and your...More

Our pilot did an incredible job to show us the lava flows of the eruption in the Puna area of Hawaii. It was a once in a lifetime flight.

My husband and 2 daughters did the doors off helicopter tour of the volcano on Hawaii and while the volcanic activity had slowed, they had an awesome time. The pictures they came back with were great. They had a great pilot who was very knowledgeable....More

With all the recent volcanic activity on the island we knew we had to see Kilahuea. This was breathtaking. Truly once in a lifetime experience. My teenagers and 70 year old mother enjoyed.

We ordered vouchers through Costco.com (saved a bunch this way!) and made our reservations about 2 weeks before we arrived on the Big Island. I did see the same vouchers for sale at the Kona Costco, but if you are only there for a week...More

This flight was one of the highlights of our trip. My wife and I were dead-set on seeing lava during our trip, and a helicopter tour provided the best and safest view of the current event. We departed from Hilo airport, which requires paying for...More

Great experience and worth every dollar spent. Rare oppty to see lava flow. Our pilot Rob was incredibly well informed and has a very calm demeanor helping make a high adrenaline adventure feel safe yet exhilarating. Would highly recommend.

We were allowed to take smartphones on doors-off tour if using strap (they sold straps for $2 each at the desk)

Aloha!! Photography question... My wife and I have already booked a couple flights at the end of June - one in the morning and the other in the afternoon - can't wait!! Since I'm a "big" guy, I will have one of the back seats. I plan to bring along two DSLR cameras. One (Canon 6d) with my 24-70 wide angle lens and the other (Canon 7dMkII - 1.6x cropped sensor) with either the 70-200 or 100-400 zoom. I prefer to not swap lenses in the field - and never airborne with no doors. I am hoping to capture some "epic" lava shots. My "work" is all hobby - I never sell my photos, but I do donate large prints for charity and disaster relief fund raisers. I also plan to have a GoPro securely mounted on each camera for video - those will record the whole flight and I'll edit later. My iPhoneX will supplement wide shots, helicopter interior, and some video, and I will also see what I can get with a dedicated infrared 4/3's camera. Yes, all this gear will be tethered - I shoot near airplanes and on aircraft carriers - if you drop something there, they do not invite you back. Any (higher end) photo/gear tips would be greatly appreciated! Mahalo!!

Very Professional Organization. If the conditions aren't right they won't go. I recommend the 'Doors Off' Helicopter., definately worth the price of admission.
