Great day out with the wonderful tour guide sue who was a good balance of knowledgeable, funny and slightly crazy. The day was a bit wet but it didn't spoil anything. Saw some great locations on route including a turtle on the rocks, waterfall, black sand beach and also the volcano crater and lava tube. Great day.

What a wonderful walking/driving tour! Loved the black sand beach most!! Our tour guide was so informative although she is the youngest tour guide. She was so friendly and never let us get bored. She showed us so many interesting things!!!

The twilight Volcan tour was very long, but at the same time very intreaging. My 13 year old son got bored at times but in saying that he was amazed by the active volcano below our feet releasing steam all around us. Once we got to the night lava flow, I thought we would get closer to view it. I... More

Mark was our tour guide for the off the beaten path tour. We were a party of 3 and Mark did a fantastic job customizing the tour to our specific interests. He was exceptionally knowledgable of the local traditions, customs, and folklore. He was incredibly friendly and well aquatinted with the history of the island, the species of plants and... More

Mark was very pleasant, very knowledgeable about the area, and the science and the history of the volcanos and surrounding terrain. It was also very nice to have our own personal guide (we were a group of 4), instead of being in a group. In the lava tube, many others stopped at our little group to hear all the stories... More

We had an amazing afternoon/evening Volcano tour. Started the day by visiting a coffee farm and sampling their coffee. Then headed to the South part of the island and stopped at a wonderful bakery and saw sea turtles at the Black Sand Beach. Then on to a wonderful tour of the active Volcano. But what really made this trip as... More

We spent the day with Mark as he showed us around Hilo and up and down along the east coast. We visited scenic beaches and out of the way locations along the south road where the lava swallowed the road.

Jon is the best tour guide I have ever had the pleasure to listen to.. Historical and mythical information from a tour guide that knows his stuff. Not a dull moment and we all found ourselves asking for more. I give this tour a great rating. Be sure to take some layering clothing because when the sun goes down it... More

We took the 12hr. tour with Jon.(a teacher) This guy was a plethora of knowledge. I was worried I'd be bored. But the day flew by. He talked about the history of the islands. The Hawaiian gods, different types of lava, island micro climates. Black& green sand beaches. Invasive & indigionous species of plants and animals. The coffee farm, the Punalu'u... More
