drove up from Mauna Lani area on our way to Pololu Valley. VERY friendly volunteer there with lots of great info. CLEAN bathrooms, to the point of excessive bleach smells. :) cool world map that you can put a pin in where you are traveling...More

Stopped there on the way out of town to use their very clean bathrooms. Wished we’d stopped in the way in. The nice lady in charge was happy to talk about town attractions and share ideas of where to go. We had a nice picnic...More

Initially stopped in the visitor center to use the restroom (which was exceptionally clean) but actually stayed quite some time. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Additionally, there was a food stand outside (not sure if this was on the Visitor...More

Hawi, at the north tip of Kohala is lovely. The town is quaint and artsy, the people are friendly. Essentials Art Gallery is fantastic. The sandwich and coffee I had at the Kohala Coffee Company was EXCELLENT.

The woman that greeted us was very personable and had a lot of information to share about the area. Important note: Very clean restrooms!

I stopped in and visited for a second. Learned of the old missionary farm, and did stop there, too. The volunteer even recognized me on the return flight home and said hello!
