Sunday Morning market

Might be the varied Farmer's Market in the area with artisans, fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and so on. Plus some great meals are available. And live music.

South Kona Sunday Market

A bit hard to find but head for Captain Cook and you will eventually end up there. It’s a great place to stock up on raw Mac nuts and 100% Kona Coffee as well as to meet the locals who actually grow the stuff. This is not a flea market! You can get bread, cookies, jam’s,honey, kombucha and all kinds of healthy stuff. If you like avocados, you can get super large ones here.

Shop local!

Skip the cheap tourist junk peddlers and support the local community! Visit with wonderful local artists, nonprofits, and farmers. Buy authentic Hawaiian goods made with love -- wonderful foods, wares and souvenirs made right in the local area. Recommend!

Some produce, food stalls, many artisans, but really good local bands.

We go here to sample the food truck-type vendors and watch the local musicians perform. We come mainly for the music, but enjoy the food too. You can find parking next door and across the highway.

More of an artisan market, than a farmer's market
Jan 2017 • Couples
This market was a reasonable drive from the condo we are staying in, so I thought I would check it out. It was very well attended. However, to me it was much more an artisan market than a farmers market. They also had a number of stalls selling food. I would say that most of the stalls were jewelry, crafts, ceramics and the like. It is held only on a Sunday between the hours of the 9 AM and 2 PM.

Great farmer's market with a live band and plenty of coffee, honey and other local products
Apr 2016
Some local folks we met at 2 Step beach recommended we stop by this farmer's market if we were looking for local produce. It was a great tip. Easy to find, the market is in Captain Cook almost directly across from the Kona Chip factory. It is only open on Sundays though and closes at 2PM so plan accordingly. Lots of free parking. Tip: take time and shop all the booths. I almost bought macadamia nuts from the first booth I stopped at, but wound up finding some I liked a lot better for a better price farther up the hill. We also found the best prices on Kona coffee here at the market. Nice to buy directly from the person growing the product. In addition to fresh produce and plenty of Kona coffee, you will also find bakery items, honey, local crafts people, teas, macadamia nuts and more. Highly recommend this market.

Great market

Great market. Bring your shopping bags! We forgot ours and ended up hunting one down & buying it from a vendor selling some clothing items. We came here to pick up some fresh produce and coffee to have at our house while on vacation. We ended up buying a lot more than we planned.....wonderful macadamia nuts with different seasonings and some delicious vegan, macadamia nut cheese spread (the first vegan cheese I have ever liked-really delicious). Try the smokey pineapple flavor! They had a couple of stands selling some great looking freshly prepared foods so go Hungry and grab breakfast or lunch while you're there.

A Treasure Trove of Well Being

For a true Hawaii experience, you've got to go to the open air weekend markets and this market was one of my favorites...
Among the many booths I visited, was the Hawaii Bee Company run by Tim.
He has the most amazing honey and bee products: candles, etc that are 100% natural. You can even buy honey still in the comb.
While I was there a few other regulars came back to share with Tim, how much they love and enjoy his products.
As you walk in the main entrance, his booth is on the left side (same side) towards the back.
Definitely check it out!
