Made a quick stop (No more than 10 minutes) here with family on our way to the Pu’uhonua O Hanuanau Historical Park. Interesting to see the murals within the church which have not been retouched or repaired since they were painted in 1899. There is...More

Small remote church in the middle of nowhere, gorgeous inside with hand paintings on every aspect of the church, walls and ceiling. Gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean below. Very nice grounds

My sister and I went here in the morning and the view is wonderful. Sunshine and Ocean view. The church is uniquely painted inside and shows different Bible stories. We enjoyed it.

Like many attractions in Hawaii, signage is non-existent, but eventually you get to it. Short visit, but the painting are very interesting. Amazing it is still standing after all these years. If you are in the general area, it's worth finding it.

We enjoyed visiting this beautiful church. The outside is lovely and the inside is so interesting with all the paintings. It is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

We just visited St Benedict’s Painted Church in Honauhau. That made our fourth visit. The small church is so beautiful inside and it setting is just pristine. This is a must see!

Interesting old church...still used by locals. Grounds are beautifully kept....including a stations of the cross walk through the gardens....and an old cemetery. Church building is unique with a number of murals on the walls depicting Biblical events. FREE.

The setting is so very exotic and tropical, and the church is so cute - but the interior painting is absolutely stunning. Trompe L'oeil painting! It's amazing the work that had to go into that.
