If you take the morning cruise you will be one of the very first of those at Captain Cook's that day - way before all of the other tour boats get there. The water is calmer and you have a better chance of seeing the...More

This adventure was an amazing experience and a highlight of our Hawaii vacation. I had never kayaked or snorkeled before and I was extremely apprehensive. However, Jay was great at easing my fears. He was patient, explained everything simply and encouraged me and the rest...More

The highlight of my trip to Hawaii was kayaking and snorkeling with Adventures in Paradise. I was bit nervous about my ability to keep up with everyone for the kayaking portion but was pleasantly surprised when I was able to hold my own (everyone kayaked...More

We had an excellent trip to Captain Cook Monument with Adventures in Paradise. They were professional, focused on our safety, and respectful of the wildlife. We saw a number of spinner dolphins. They talked about how we needed to stay a certain distance away from...More

We are a family of 4 who went out with Jay for the morning paddle. He was a great guide — very safety conscious, entertaining and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and culture. Since we went on the early trip, the water was calm and...More

We booked this guided kayak tour to Captain Cook monument as we have no experience with kayaking. I had my nine-year-old daughter in my kayak, my husband had our five-year-old son. Right away, I got blown off course. Our guide was very annoyed with me....More

Thank you for sending the note. We are sorry to hear your trip did not go as hoped. We have to disagree about the "not good for first time kayakers" comment, because indeed we provide the training and equipment for those with little or no...More

This may be one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever tried to use, yet it was somehow recommended in the Moon Big Island travel guide. So the day before your trip you will receive multiple messages reminding you about the trip, and reinforcing...More

I recommend a waterproof phone pouch - look on Amazon or at Eddie Bauer. They do give you a dry bag, but I like taking pictures with my phone during the trip. Don't leave anything valuable in your car!
