Amazing experience
Jun 2020
We had the most incredible trip with the Teton Raptor Center and JH Vintage Adventures! Len led my two kids (3 and 4 years old) and I down the Snake River - he was a wealth of knowledge and a joy to be around. He also spotted 8 different bald eagles which was a highlight of our time in JH for my son. The Teton Raptor Center team brought a few of their raptors and deepened our education. My kids were enthralled (as was I).

I felt that both teams took every precaution during Covid to keep us safe. Highly recommend this to anyone who has the opportunity to participate.

Fantastic Feathered Float
Jun 2020
The Teton Raptor Center’s Feathered Float down the Snake River was one of the highlights of our trip to Wyoming. We were met in the parking lot by Dutch and the ladies form the center, then took a short walk down to the river to get in our boat and begin the trip. We were given instructions and life jackets at this time. Our guide Christine was fun and very knowledgeable about the area wildlife as well as being an excellent river guide. We saw numerous bald eagles and nests along the way as well as some other wildlife. The scenery on the river was absolutely stunning. There were three of us in the boat with Christine and one other boat on the river also from the center which was a good ways away from us. We had it all to ourselves which was wonderful. She also had cold bottled water for us in the boat which was nice as it was a warm day. We got to the camp which was very nice and were met with a wonderful group of ladies who brought the gorgeous raptors we were seeing that day. There were six of us total ( the three people in the other boat joined us). The birds were brought out one at the time and we were given an entertaining and educational presentation about each one as they were brought very close. Seeing them up close was just an amazing experience and the staff interacting with the birds was fascinating to watch. We were able to learn about the birds as well as conservation and rehabilitation efforts these amazing people work toward every day. After it was over our vehicles had been brought to the camp by the staff who by the way implemented excellent Covid 19 protocols throughout the entire day. Our vehicles were cleaned and the staff wore masks and gloves when driving them. Dutch guide us out of the camp and back to the main road. This was a fantastic experience I would recommend it to any wildlife/nature enthusiasts and families looking for a fun, interactive and educational experience. Thank you to all the staff on the Feathered Float for an unforgettable experience! By the way we were their first group and it was very well planned and executed. Great job y’all!

Extremely knowledgeable staff who were also very kind. They treated the raptors with respect and kindness while also educating us all on them. I highly recommend Teton Raptor Center to anyone who is looking for something to do on their trip. They were family friendly and I was impressed with the entire experience.

Incredible experience meeting and learning about raptors!
Aug 2019
This amazing center rescues and cares for injured raptors. They do presentations all around town. Check their schedule to see if they will be at the airport, in town, or at the ski resort doing a presentation. You will get up close to some incredible birds and learn all about them!

wonderful day of learning both in classroom in Wilson and on the float trip
Aug 2019
We come to the Raptor Center each year. Always learn many new things about the birds and the work of the Raptor Center. This year we added on a 3 hour float on the Snake River. Len, who was our guide and boat master was outstanding in his knowledge of the area, the river; the birds(3 beautiful bald eagles sighted). I would highly recommend the float trip after the presentation in Wilson.
We have other friends visiting this summer and will add another float to our activity list.

Meet beautiful birds!
Jul 2019
Teton Raptor Center in Wilson, Wyoming just a few miles from Jackson, WY town square is a raptor rescue and education center that is well worth seeing. The center itself is undergoing to big construction project so their programs are being held around the area on different days, many for no charge. For example we recently saw a few of their traveling raptors at the Jackson Visitor center on a Tuesday for their summer program at no charge. I attended their presentation in Wilson that was followed by a float trip down the Snake River. This is a program held during certain months of the summer season and both the presentation and the float trip have a fee.

Their staff and volunteers do wonderful work with the rehabilitation of injured birds and those that cannot be released back into the wild are used in their educational program. The birds I saw were all beautiful and it is great to be able to see these birds up close. The children in the audience seemed to really enjoy seeing the birds up close so I recommend this for all ages.

The staff and volunteers also describe the projects they are working on and encourage donations if you are so inclined as well as selling items. They are very knowledgeable and will answer all questions from the audience regarding the birds. In both encounters I attended we saw a barn owl, golden eagle, bald eagle, peregrine falcon and screech owls.

Interesting and educational
Jul 2019
Our family of five adults attended one of the awesome presentations that Jessie and Becky put on with three of their feathered friends ........super wonderful and beautiful birds. Our visit was to the temporary presentation site at the Old Wilson Schoolhouse in Wilson, WY (just a 15 minute car ride from Jackson). The seating area had a large tent over it and their was tiered seating .............you were very close to the birds and everyone had a great view. We all learned so much about raptors and about the birds of prey in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

My husband uses a manual wheelchair and he had absolutely no problem pushing himself (hard packed flat surface) from the car to the seating area under the tent.

We also learned about the Poo-Poo Project that the Teton Raptor Center has led the effort to prevent cavity-nesting owls and other wildlife from entrapment in vault toilets on our public lands. The Poo-Poo Project (Port-O-Potty Owl Project) is an international conservation initiative. My husband and I joined the organization and are so glad we can help maybe save some birds.

Great time had by all of us. Thank you.

We saw the presentation at the temporary spot in Wilson and it was still very good and comfortable. Within an arms length of amazing birds like a kestrel, owl, hawk and even a Golden Eagle.
