Really enjoyed our visit. The museum is very detailed and has a wide range of fossils and bones to look at, as well as extremely detailed information boards. We paid $9.50 extra each to go on a tour of the dig site, up in the hills. They take you there in an old bus which winds its way up the... More

The exhibit is very extensive and informative. It takes you through the evolution of life on Earth. In addition to the skeletons, the story boards are very informative.

We have driven through Thermopolis many times without realizing what we were missing. We intentionally designed our trip this time to see the Wyoming Dinosaur Center. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. We paid to enter the exhibit and tour the dig site. Our guide was a paleontologist familiar with the history and process utilized. Excellent speaker, engaging, and... More

We went out of our way to visit and glad we did. You can pay a little extra and they'll take you to a dig site. I didn't realize there were so many fossils in the area. My 8 yr old was impressed!!!

The building presently housing this collection of fossils is very utilitarian and does not give a hint as to the high quality of artifacts and information contained within. In addition to the collection is an architectural rendering of what I assume will be their much improved future physical facilities. This museum is well worth the price of admission. I could... This is a nice museum. The Sauropods (long necks) are particularly impressive. One is on its back legs and when I walked under it it must have made an impression because that night I dreamed a Sauropod was trying to sit on me! The staff was also friendly. There are other unique exhibits that were also interesting.

Amazing collection of dinosaur fossils! We really enjoyed our visit and learned a lot. We were amazed at the size of the real dinosaur bones inside. One of them spanned almost the inside of the entire building!

This museum is fantastic and even more so if you get the private tour. We did the dig and found bones! Then we got to go into the lab and actually clean the dinosaur bones, then got a private tour of the museum. The interns who took us where fantastic and this is a MUST DO!

It is well worth the visit to the Dinosaur Museum to find out about the pale-ontological history of this part of the Big Horn Basin. Besides the reconstructions of dinosaurs, there are many other fascinating fossils that tell an amazing story that covers eons. You can also view the fossils being separated from their rock by museum staff, a labor... More
