We took this route into Thermopolis and we had no idea we were in for such awesome beauty and amazing rock formations. This is well worth going out of your way to see.

Maybe its because we just came from the Grand Teton and through Yellowstone, but I didn't think that the views were that spectacular. Yes, they beat the pants off of anything east of the Mississippi, but not over the top spectacular.

This is a lovely drive coming out of Thermopolis to Casper. It’s a lovely start to an otherwise long and boring drive.

This is a beautiful drive through Wind River Canyon-----three different tunnels & the mountainous terrain. Well worth the trip and then go on to Hot Springs State Park for a good soaking in the mineral hot baths at the Bath House.

This canyon is spectacular! I drove it both directions and it looks completely different from each side. Tunnels, RR tunnels, cliffs, water, great rock formations, beautiful. Take your time and drive at least one way. We stayed in thermopolis and had plenty to do for...More
