The ticket taker was incredibly rude. I have been on the gondola ride numerous times but today $ 45.00 per person not free. It is beautiful at the top and was one of my favorite things to do. A great cocktail and food.

The gondola ride to the top of the mountain does not have a 'sight seeing' ticket during the winter months. The company wants you to pay the 200.00 daily rate for lift tickets, skier or not. This is not explained anywhere if you have scheduled reservations at the mountaintop restaurant.

This tram is closed for sightseeing. You must buy ski tickets at $135 per person to ride the tram. According to the clerk, this rule has been in effect for over 2 years since Covid. Don’t waste your money or your time on this attraction.

To provide a superb experience with low wait times for our skiers and snowboarders, you are correct that the Tram is closed for sightseeing during the winter. However, the Aerial Tram is open for sightseeing during the summer. We hope you make it out again!

Took the tram to the top and loved seeing the changing fall leaves on the mountain! It was not crowded so we didn’t have to wait in a line. Unfortunately, the season for this tram is nearing an end but they do have other lifts up the mountain which should be running soon. A little cafe is located at the top, so we grabbed a beer and sat outside and drank in the scenery! Book on line to save money!

Truly a marvel of engineering. The waits can get crazy in the mornings, especially if they got snow the night before. It was a little scary when we had 30 mph winds one day but it was reassuring knowing it was designed to take up to 60mph winds...

What a view! We rode the aerial tram on a beautiful, sunny day. Perfect weather for amazing views at the top of the world! We are a family of 4 so we purchased the Summer Sightseeing Ticket~ Family Pass for $116+ tax. It included the aerial tram as well as two other gondola rides.

Tram ride was great and incredible views from the top. Unfortunately with COVID putting tram capacity at 25%, there was an hour wait both times we took it. No way to help this though and glad they are taking safety precautions.

Having never been on a ski lift before, I found this to be just a wee bit scary. Just when I thought we were at the top of the mountain we went even higher. It was worth the trip though because the view of the Tetons was awesome. It wasn't really very cold atop either...about 54 degrees and not windy. I thought for sure the wind would be biting but I was wrong.
There is a shop at the top of the mountain that sells waffles. Unfortunately we had just eaten lunch and could not fit in a waffle but others said they were delicious. Our gondola operator highly recommended them.
The gondola runs continuously so you can get off, walk around, take pictures, go for a hike and eat waffles. When you're ready catch the next gondola that arrives and go back down. It was fun.

Worth it - especially if you like to hike and plan to do the other tram rides as well.
There was weather at the top and the tram was shut down for a bit but the staff was very friendly and were flexible on using the ticket another time.
We decided to risk it and rode to the top. It was beautiful!
Be sure and ride the other tram in the middle. It has a great seating area at the top.

They pack in a ton of people on the tram so the you will likely not get great views on the way up. However, if you aren't skiing down, you'll likely be one of few people that ride it back down so you can get great views then. The view from the top is priceless! It's worth waiting for a clear day to go though! Be sure to get a waffle when you get to the top! :)

Hi! Can we ride the tram to the top, backpack and camp for the night, and then ride the tram back down with the same ticket? Or do we need to buy another ticket on day 2 to come back down?
Written July 10, 2023
Hi there, thanks for reaching out! You can actually ride the Tram down for free at anytime it is in operation.

I would like to know about how far do you have to walk and how many steps I 'm senior and have some problem with walking
Written April 12, 2023
Hey there, thanks for reaching out! The Tram is about a couple hundred meters from the ticketing office where you can pick up and purchase your sight seeing tickets. From the top you can walk as little or as much as you'd like! Hopefully that answers your question! Let us know if you have any other inquiries.

Is the tram the same thing as the gondola? Or two different things?

Is there a place near the Aereal Tram to park a 30ft motorhome while we ride up for a meal at Corbets Cabin during the summer, assuming it reopens in 2021?
Written September 5, 2020
Yes, there is a free parking lot just around the corner - walking distance. Its all dirt and you could park at the back of the lot. Also depends on time of day.

Is the view from the top of tram still worth it if the skies are gray and overcast? Do you see the Tetons ? Or just Jackson and snake river?
Written August 23, 2019
You can see the Tetons better from down in the valley or the drive on the east side. From the top you just see the nearby peaks. Your best views of the valley will probably be looking back while the tram is ascending. Anyway, the wind won't bother you while you are inside the tram. My experience was that most visitors spent about 10 minutes and head down. Some lunched at the waffle shop. The more vigorous invested in a hike. Possibly to the lower gondola or the ridge loop, but some trekked all the way down.
