Experience one of the most iconic ski destinations in the North America! Over 4,000 vertical feet of skiing off the legendary Aerial Tram. Expanded beginner and intermediate terrain. Also a summer destination for hikers, bikers and sightseers. There...more

Jackson Hole has a huge reputation to live up to and yes it delivers in spades BUT let's highlight a couple of issues. The steepness of the mountain means that many of the south facing groomed blue runs turn icy quickly. Jackson is also a...More
Everyone in JH is friendly! Great service at restaurants and absolutely delicious food! Gorgeous views! Fun activities! The unit we rented was in Teton Village (Moose Creek Townhomes) and, not only it felt like home, but it was VERY comfortable (booked through Jackson Hole Resort...More
Incredibly well-organized and well-run ski resort. Fabulous ski school for all ages and levels. The mountain runs can be a little confusing (signage is sort of sparse) so helps to have an instructor so that you know where you are going. Lots of staff all...More
Big, beautiful, endless mountains! Lots of wildlife to see. Apparently this place is just as pretty and popular in summer too (bike riding/hiking/climbing). You need at least a week here to experience all Teton Village/Jackson Hole has to offer. This should also give you enough...More
The best of the best. Best and most difficult ski area around. Steep and beautiful.
Not for beginners. The blues are blacksat most other areas. Lots of snow, not too crowded. The most beautiful view of the Tetons . Worth theTrip.
Beautiful lodge, the rooms were spacious. And the staff was absolutely wonderful, they knew your name and did everything to make you feel at home. Bar staff was great to talk with and the the guys in ski ski valet were awesome as well. This...More
We had a great experience with ski school for our youngest. The instructor was awesome.. he even remembered him from the previous year! Jackson Hole is always a good idea and we will continue our annual trips there!
Management is struggling to adequately staff the mountain and the experience on the mountain reflects the empty positions. There are not enough lift operators and as a result the lines are not efficient and the lift benches are filled with snow. There are no electronic...More
My husband and I are coming to Jackson Hole for 4 days in February. We plan on skiing a couple of days but are looking for other fun winter activities to do on our other days as well. We've looking into snowmobiling a bit but would love any other recommendations you have. We are staying in Jackson but plan to drive to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to ski.

If you have four full days, the snowmobile activity will definitely take up one. I would look at going up to Togwotee Lodge for some beautiful scenery and best access to numerous trails. For a more low key snowmobile, take a tour into Granite Hot Springs. Jackson Hole Iditarod Sled Dog Tours can also take you I on a dog sled. Other ideas would include a sleigh ride through the National Elk Refuge, a stop at our National Wildlife Museum, or my personal favorite - a cross country ski either...More

Itinerary Help - 3 days partially planned (2 Replies)
I'm looking for help with filling the rest of our 3 days in GTNP. I have seen the "must do" lists and read lots of posts, but if you could help I would appreciate it! Trying to figure out how to do as much as possible without driving the family mad is the goal. We are staying at Coulter Bay Village (RV section). We are a family of 4.. kids will be 6 and 9 at the time of the trip. We enjoy being outdoors and the activities that go along with that. We enjoy scenic hikes that have a...More

Have you considered either a float or whitewater raft trip? At that time of year the whitewater trips on the Snake will be pretty mellow, with a few rapids to get the kids excited. Outside the park, Dave Hansen and Mad River are 2 good companies I've had experience with. The float trips operate in the park with different companies. All the trips are fun experiences.
