What a lovely place to stay, right on the Wind River, after having driven through the amazing Wind River Canyon. Level sites under big shade trees. A little highway noise, but we were fortunate to camp right on the river with nothing in our view...More

Did not stay at park, just passing through on way to Cody. After a long rather boring drive across Wyoming from Casper this drive along the canyon road from Shoshoni to Thermopolis following the Windy creek through a number of rock tunnels was very scenic.

This is a completely unappealing destination. The reservoir is muddy and a turn off. Why anyone would stop and camp here is beyond me. Keep on driving.

We stayed at the Tough Creek campground, one of many campgrounds in this sprawling state park. Husband is working remotely so we needed a spot with solid data access. (No wifi or electric hookup at this park.) Plenty of first-come, first-served along the water's edge....More

We drove on both the west side. and then all the way around the eat side and up to the north end, it was a fun and interesting drive, they have several campgrounds all thru the park.

This is a nice park with direct access to the Boysen Resevoir. It has many beautiful campgrounds at various places around the lake. Keep in mind the central focus for recreation revolves around watercraft, so without one it might be boring. There are no facilities...More

If you don't have water toys this is a very boring park. That's the down side. Also most of the day users USE the campsites. I've never seen this in my last 11 months of traveling the country. We pull up to a camp site...More
