We traveled north from Vernal, and took the highway 44 / 530 route to Green River. A great view of the gorge just north of Manila as you go down some switchbacks. Awesome colors in the rock layers !

A quiet serene colorfull drive that will take about 4-5 hours to do. Probably more senic views in the 1st half rt 191 and fewer on second half rt 44 and 503 but the second half is more spectacular.

I wish I had better words to describe the Flaming Gorge near Rock Springs, Wyoming. I am not sure the words have been invented yet. It is a must see

When we traveled it was not in the busy season so some of the attractions and stores were closed but it didn't prevent us seeing the Gorge

Dlriving through the gorge in September is just awesome. Something to see around each bend. You won't be dissapointed.

The view from the visitor center is one if the most beautiful in the world. Have never been o. Tbe river below the big cliffs, but that must be spectacular as well.

yes its paved the whole way around the loop. the gravel road is also well maintained that goes through bottom where campgrounds are located
