Staying in the area for a few days, arrived early enough to go for a short drive before dinner. Good scenic views with some fall color, no delay from the construction. Great views of the Wind River range near the end of the drive. Saw several pronghorn and deer.

That drive was awesome! We do a lot of roadtrips, we have seen the Grand Canyon, been through teh Rockies, BigHorn Forest and more, but this was just lovely. Goes all the way up to around 10,000 feet. There are public corrals at the top, which we thought was neat. Some of the views are drop-dead stunning.I imagine in winter... More

The Skyline Scenic Drive offers some beautiful views and great photo opportunities. The only drawback was that they were doing a major road repair when I was there and there were long delays.

A nice mountain road - great for a short scenic drive or to access Fremont and Half Moon lakes and hiking.

Yes, there is currently construction, but we had minimal delays. This takes you up into the aspens and accesses several trailheads.

Very good drive just a few minutes out of Pinedale. Awesome views of the Wind River Peaks. Great views of Fremont and Half Moon lakes. No Cliffs or hairy spots on this drive. Highly recommend this drive.

I took this drive one afternoon this week on a sunny day with little wind. Well worth the time, the views were outstanding. Several pull over places from which to take pictures and absorb the landscape, birdlife and wildflowers. The elevation rises about 1,000 feet from Pinedale, so use caution if you haven't had time to acclimate to the altitude.... More
