Look at the pictures to see if you want to go. How good your pictures are will depend on conditions, so, do not expect to go and get pictures as good as what you see online. For example, we went at sunset, but the sunset was not colorful that evening. Nevertheless, we love the pictures that we did get. We were also lucky enough to see bald eagles and otters. …

Two days in a row at 5 pm we saw this little critter! Saw him right of road on way to Jackson then tonight saw him on the hill eating away for about 30 min on left side of road on the hill. As we left he reappeared on the hill a little farther down the road. This is a gorgeous place to bring your lawn chairs and watch the sunset! We saw elk in the distance. One night we saw 5 river otters. Tonight one single bald eagle. The view is obliterated by the haze from the Oregon fires but still beautiful!! I loved this place as it will always be the place we saw our baby black bear!!…
