We are a family of 4, two adults and two teenagers. This was the first time either teen rode a horse and it had been years since my wife and I rode. We arrived at 11am and had a short wait before our 2 hour...More

Riding horses through Grand Teton National Park was our family's favorite activity! It was beautiful. The outfitters were organized and a well-run family business. They were friendly, yet firm with the children and good at explaining to help the children ride safely. We loved this....More

Does not require reservations for groups under 6. Worth the drive from the lodge! Trail ride was a legitimate 1 hour ride. Guide could have offered more fun facts, but otherwise a great excursion.

Quit thinking about it- this is a no brainer. One of the most amazing trail rides in America. You will not be disappointed. We did a 2 hour trail ride with 2 kids (8,10) and 3 adults (40,45, 68). The river was running high so...More

We took the two-hour little pulpit ride to the top of the mountain, and what a great ride! I only have a little experience with riding, and only on flat ground, so I was a little apprehensive at first but so glad we chose this...More

We were a family of four - one first-timer, the rest with limited (or dated!) experience. Still, based on what we read and our interactions with the ranch staff, we decided to do the two-hour trail ride. The staff was fantastic, matching everyone up with...More

Based on other reviews, we chose the 1 hour ride for our group of 12 - aged 8-72! The guides were great and the ride was an adventure. I'd highly recommend for family groups wanting a true western experience.

This is not your typical trail ride! We loved the spirited but well trained horses and the staff did a great job matching us up according to our abilities/experience. We crossed the creek and went through some steep terrain which kept it interesting throughout our...More

We did the 3 hour ride. You can use backpacks for the longer rides, but they discourage them for shorter ones because people tend to overpack and you don't need that much gear on the trail. I would suggest taking simple... More

I'm assuming you are doing a 1 or 2 hr. ride? I doubt they will lead the horse the entire trail. Maybe they will spend some time leading her around the corral area so she can get used to the horse before going on the trail... More
