What an awesome trip! Next time we’re renting the Pontoon Boat for the WHOLE day - half a day just isn’t enough to take in this beauty. We showed up and we’re welcomed by a team that was very experienced and got us checked in and onto our Pontoon Boat really quickly. We went through the checklist and we’re on our way in about 15 minutes.
We were able to make it to Devil’s Canyon with the smallest Pontoon Boat and with a FULL load of people. We made it in roughy 35 minutes and it probably took 40-45 to get back. It’s pretty calm and super easy to navigate for even a novice ‘Captain’.
The scenery is so amazing! The water was perfect. Other boaters were considerate and friendly. I just loved the experience and so did our kids and family.
We can’t wait to come back!
The only improvement I would offer actually has nothing to do with the trip or the staff but I would recommend making sure you get all you calls sorted before you get there because there is ZERO service. Then again, that’s kind of the point of being out in the beauty of nature!
Overall: 10/10

"Belle" the boat was comfortable and cool in the hot weather. A roof covers the boat and the side windows were open to allow a cooler breeze through the boat. Mike, the captain, gave a short informative tidbits of geology and local history. Mike spotted Bighorn sheep on the side wall of the canyon and slowed so everyone could see them. Mike also pointed out interesting geological features along the way. I would prefer to hear more history about the local area and the natives.

Hidden Treasure Charters boat tour
We had a mini family reuion and we went on the Boat tour at Horseshoe Bend Marina. There were 13 of us from 6 different states. It was really hot but felt comfortable on the boat. Captain Mark gave us interesting information about the Big Horn Canyon, it is the 3rd largest canyon in the US! We saw 20+ Big Horn sheep on our tour which Captain Mark said was the most he had seen all week! Breathtaking photos were available to all! After the tour we all had supper at the Marina where we had wonderful Ribs, Coleslaw and Baked beens. It is a very enjoyable afternoon and I would highly recommend this activity if you are in the Lovell, WYoming area this summer!!

Great family friendly trip. Captain took time to share all the interesting aspects of the canyon, history and wildlife. He even took time to circle back around so everyone could get an up close view of the bighorn sheep. Have already recommended it to a friend. Took the tour with 3 adults, a 7 yo and a 5 yo.

Cody Wyoming is known for the celebration of July 4th - would not miss it but by day 5 we are ready for a quiet and soul charging trip up Big Horn Canyon - usually we have a houseful of company and this is a wonderful break in the action. Great trip, wildlife, ancient archaeological sites, relaxing and on the water cool. Highly recommend

My 95 yr old mom came up to Wyoming specifically to see the Big Horns. She and I did the 2 hr boat tour through the canyon and it was spectacular! The dock is wheelchair accessible provided your passenger can walk a few steps down into the boat. Comfortable padded seating made this tour delightful! Food at the marina was delicious. Staff made us feel like family. Captain Michelle did such a great job and was very helpful in suggesting we see lovely Shell Falls close by, also wheelchair accessible. This tour is reasonably priced for this once in a lifetime experience! Never miss a chance to make special vacation memories!

We rented a small fishing boat for 7 hours that cost $388. We were told to meet the owner at 8:45 for our 9:00 am rental. He showed up at 9:30 am. The boat we rented would not stay running. I do not know if it was the engine or my inexperience, but we were upgraded to a very nice pontoon boat. We finally got on the water after 10:00 am and due to weather we needed to return to the marina at 2:00 pm, so our all day rental turned into a 4 hour rental. When we returned the boat they charged us $7 per gallon for 6 gallons of gas used. We had a boat for 4 hours and were charged over $400. Not really worth it.

Beautiful reservoir with lots of history. The woman who checked us in provided excellent service and was very engaging. And that’s when it went downhill from there.
The worker with the adorable lab pup was snappy when anyone showed any interest in his dog. Why bring it to a tourist attraction if you don’t want anyone interacting with him?
Then our tour guide… so full of himself. Talking all about being a lawyer and a master boater, but seemed reluctant to share details about the area. What he did share was interesting. It was so hot but he never offered to put up the bimini. We got the sense that he was putting in the very least amount of effort possible.
The worst was when he started bashing California, even though we are originally from Wyoming. Only to find out he’s a Californian! And then he mentioned tipping. What an ass.
Highly recommend the tour but not this guide.

I was worried everything would be closed, but was happy we could see the canyon more up close from a boat. The views were gorgeous. We saw several mountain goats and the skipper had a lot of interesting facts to share.
It was a bit long for my younger kids, so if you have younger children bring a distraction for them, but we all enjoyed ourselves.

What a great trip into the Big Horn Canyon. The views are breathtaking and we had a great captain, Michelle, who offered great information and narrative of the canyon today and its history. My husband and I took the sunset cruise. The day was beautiful and the other passengers great. Saw animals and caves and Captain Michelle did her best to find/spot animals for all of us to enjoy. The boat was comfy and enough room for all to get around for photos and viewing. I would recommend for anyone! The Pryor wild horses were up the road and there are outlooks/overlooks of the canyon. Great trip and I'd do it again,

Hi
I would like to know more about a private charter. How much, how long, what times are available? Fishing with a group available? How many people required?
Written June 26, 2015
We offer private charters subject to availability. Small groups of 3 - 4 persons can go on the smaller boat for $125 per hour, plus fuel. The larger tour boat carries up to 45 persons and has a regular schedule. On non-scheduled days you could charter it if its available. The large boat is $250 per hour, plus fuel. Both boats have a 2 hour minimum. Our normal schedule is 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. during the week and an evening cruise on Friday and Saturday. Fishing can be done on the tour boat, but it's not ideal. Thanks.
