Fairly easy walk without too much uphill beside the river to waterfalls where it is possible to bathe. Large car park at the start of the walk.

This park was a pleasant surprise- there aren't many places where you can witness a raging mountain river disappear into the side of a mountain! It also features impressive mountain scenery. Great views are accessed via a thrilling drive up a switchback-filled road to multiple...More

This is about 20 minutes out of Lander. Pretty little place (watch out for snakes) with the interesting natural phenomenon of the disappearing river. Great information centre which was overrun due to the eclipse but the staff held it together well. 1 long drop toilet...More

Amazing! River disappears into mountainside, emerges 1 mile away in trout-filled pool. State Park. Clean, friendly. Also camping.

You will love this place. There are cave tours, giant trout, nice, helpful staff, and a fabulous camp ground. I recommend the yurts. Clean, well appointed, with generous parking and convenient access to bathrooms.

It is a grand view in the canyon, exploring to the top with the lakes so clear and clean. The disappearing water and outlet were also enjoyable to view.
