I always like to visit a museum about the history of the the area that I’m visiting. Very nice and quaint museum. I also took the walking tour with them. The gentleman that was our tour guide was very informative, friendly, and made you feel like you’ve know him. Loved my visit here and the walking tour combo. If you ever in the area pay for the combo.

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes did a local event in collaboration with the museum and it was really fun! The staff were super nice and kind to all of us. I really enjoyed the history of all peoples that were told and that the tribes were included. They had a super fun cute lil scavenger hunt too!

This is a small local museum that provides decent coverage of the history of the area. The video is worth watching. Don’t miss the photos in the hallway that show how the town grew over the years. The best part was the walking tour led by Maria. She kept our interest for almost an hour and a half, and was very informative. Too bad you will have to wait until next Spring for tours to begin again!

The museum is one room of artifacts. The best part of the exhibit was the A-Z video, which we enjoyed. There was also a "scavenger hunt" for children that involved finding certain objects and counting the taxidermied animals, and our son was given a little prize at the end. Not a must-see, but it was a nice stop on a morning when we had some extra time.

We were the only visitors at the time when we went. The person on staff was super friendly and helpful. There was a lot of info even though it is a small museum. Information given by the video that was playing was great. Cute gift shop. Be sure to check out the display of photos of women in body from the area. It’s all along the hallway to the restrooms. Well worth a look.

Attractive exhibits depicting the life of Indian tribes during the days when the pioneers arrived in Jackson. Extremely informative and well worth the visit.

Little museums of course don't have the glitz of big ones, but this small museum gives a good overview of the history of Jackson Hole. When we were last there, they had a sale on the famous Wyoming bucking horse statues, half-price if I remember accurately. We had to have one.

Of course it's not the Smithsonian, previous reviewer, and the little town of Jackson isn't Washington, D.C. We love this homespun museum with its portrayal of life in this area back in the days of trappers and settlers and mountain men and women. Especially fun is the room listing all the movies made in this area and the set locations.
This is a nice rainy day activity for the whole family.
