Our trip to Wyoming was pretty phenomenal but going on the Stargazing tour with our guide Josh was spectacular! The weather was cold, but Josh was prepared with blankets and handwarmers. The night sky was out of this world and the amount of information that Josh shared with us about the stars and constellations was extraordinary. Josh was patient with us and answered all of our questions.
The Wyoming Stargazing company was super easy to book with and they were very accomidating and flexible when I needed to change which night we were going to go out and explore the night sky.
I HIGHLY recommend this tour. I would also HIGHLY recommend getting the photo option, our photograph that Josh took of us with the long exposure camera was worth every penny. You are able to see every star in the night sky behind us (you can't catch these starts on a regular camera) and it allowed us to have such a wonderful memory to bring home with us.
5 out of 5 stars!

Matt Graham was a great guide. That he is a high school teacher when not leading stargazing tours will not be a surprise. He explains everything carefully at levels appropriate to knowledgeable adults, less knowledgeable adults, and kids. We saw many astronomical features (galaxies, nebulae, binary stars) that would be inaccessible without a good telescope and guide. I would highly recommend Wyoming Stargazing and Matt in particular.

My wife and I booked this star gazing tour on a whim and we're glad we did! Emily was our guide and she was as funny/charming as she was knowledgable and informative. Being out in the park looking at stars at night was one of the highlights of our trip, became a mini expert in astronomy/greek mythology to boot!

The whole experience could not have been better...we highly recommend it!
A jacket/hoodie and pants are needed because it does get quite cold around 1030pm!

It was ok, but not was too expensive for what we received for a private star gazing tour. The guide was knowledgeable and educated us, but there was an opportunity to have shared more about Wyoming or Grand Titan's on the 30 min ride to/from the location. He also struggled with getting the car into '4 wheel drive' that I was a bit nervous that we would not make it through the puddles. Set up of the does take a bit so you really only get an hour of viewing at most for $250 per person. It was nice they had blankets since it was cold.

My family and I were very excited to see the crystal clear night skies of Wyoming when we just visited in October. It was on and off raining during the first part of our stay, which we understand nobody has power over the weather. The day of our tour we had our reservations of this happening yet reconfirmed with WY Stargazing it was continuing to happen although the skies were mostly cloudy. Once we went on our tour it was clear this was a bust. We saw we ONLY Jupiter. One thing! Why would they reconfirm this tour if they knew it was mostly cloudy for the night? Is WY Stargazing that eager to get our money that they expect us to pay full price for only seeing one thing? If they are "experts" in the sky why wouldn't they have rescheduled for the following night when it was predicted for clear skies? Sadly, we are still waiting to hear back if we'd get even a partial refund. This was over a week in an half ago and nobody has reached back out. Worst customer service ever.

Yup, this one is on us. These guests should have been refunded the night of their program. They were refunded as soon as we received this review. We had a breakdown in communication between our Stargazing Leader and our Program Coordinator. Mistakes happen sometimes, but hopefully we now have systems in place to prevent problems like this from happening again. We have a 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy on our programs. If we can't give folks a good show there is no charge. Sincerely, Samuel Singer Founder and Executive Director

We visited Jackson, WY in Mid-August and signed up for the stargazing tour through Wyoming Stargazing. We were two families with kids between ages 6-12. Tours start a little late (9pm) to maximize the experience and you return to your hotel around 12:30. We were worried the kids would run out of energy but they had no problem staying awake during the stargazing experience and crashed on the car ride home. Our guides were truly spectacular. They were always engaged, extremely knowledgeable, and adapted the tour based on interests of the group. Clear skies and the moon cycle allowed for optimal viewing of the sky, even the milky way. We also ordered the picture package which turned out even better than expected. It got a little chilly so do be prepared with plenty of layers and the guides were prepared with blankets for those that needed an extra layer. Truly amazing experience for anyone interested in space and something our family will remember as a highlight of our trip.

Our family booked a trip with Wyoming Stargazing and had a great time. Our guide was Brynn who was very knowledgeable about astronomy and passionate about it as well. She drove us out to the site, set up the large reflector telescope, and then went about showing us many stars as well as galaxies, nebula, star clusters and even the planet Saturn. We viewed wonderful objects that included the Andromeda galaxy, the Ring nebula, the Lagoon nebula, and the Great Cluster in Hercules along with many others. Throughout it all, Brynn enthusiastically provided helpful information and answered our questions as she guided us across the night sky. This was truly a memorable experience.

Romana was our guide…she was knowledgeable and amazing at explaining things that are rather difficult to explain. I learned so much:)
We had a blast while seeing things that, for us, are once in a lifetime (we live near a big city). The sky was just gorgeous:) The whole experience was enjoyable and so worth the price.
Don’t forgot to bring layers, as it gets pretty cold!

Fabulous viewing and photographs. Dave with the telescope set-up helped us view Saturn with its rings and moon, Jupiter with its dark spot and two of its moons, a dead star and nebula, the moon and its various craters. His passionate narration accompanying the viewing wove the whole thing into a larger story. Rachel at the office was excellent in coordinating the whole thing, and sending us pictures of the night sky that day including the Milky Way! What an unforgettable evening!

Thank you Ryan for a lovely evening in the desert. My husband planned an evening under the stars for us on our recent getaway to Tucson. A few days before our departure from Texas, Ryan phoned to inform us the weather (very cloudy) would not allow for a good viewing on the original date set. We rearranged our plans to arrive a day earlier, and what a wonderful experience we had.
Ryan picked us up at our AirB&B, drove us to the viewing site, and drove us back as part of the of the package deal.
The sky was so beautiful. We saw Mars, Seven Sisters, Orion's Belt, Big Dipper, and so many more (names I cannot recall). We were in awe of such beauty which can get lost in the big city.
On top of all this, Ryan took photo's throughout the evening and sent those to us. This is a night we will not forget. It's right up there with our last experience with Wyoming Stargazing in Jackson Hole back in August of 2017.
Ryan is truly a star among the stars. Thank you Ryan and thanks again Wyoming Stargazing!!
