Honky Tonk touristy

If you have kids this is ok, otherwise sophomoric and honky tonk. You can do better with your time like visit the Grand Tetons right down the road out of town

I like theater and wanted a reason to like it, heck even go see the show but left mid-show. Maybe just tired from a long hike that day, could be.

One of those gotta do's put on by the local theater company. Get there early. Whole family fun. Western shootout on the town square.

Performed by the Playhouse and they all looked like summer job actors to me, but worth a stop at the Town Square and then you can window or real shop while you're there or find dinner

This is a free street show. Although they appreciate donations. Its a fun little wild west confrontation/shootout that lasts about 20 min. The actors use real guns but shoot blanks. I think this is partly a way to market for the plays in their theatre house.

Worth the effort of getting there at 6pm for the show - we went twice and saw two slightly different versions with different actors. Impressed and the kids will love it!

Basically, just a quick way of promoting the Jackson theater. Never went to the theater based on what I saw. Says it all.

If you are in the area of the town square and have a spare half hour or so then go for it but don't expect great acting. I guess the kids may find this fun. For adults? a bit of light entertainment.

We arrived at the Town Square at about 6:05 for the 6:15 "gunfight". A large circle made with a red rope on the pavement where four streets intersect is the "stage" and everyone sits on the ground around this arena. The cowboy MC does a great job of introducing the town and promoting the show's sponsors to the visitors. The actors... More

We were just strolling through town one afternoon when this all started. Maybe a little bit on the lame side, but probably pretty fun for kids to watch.
