About
Join us during summer months for a guided tour of Grand Teton or Yellowstone National Park. Grand Teton National Park is home to many spectacular wild animals including bison, moose, bears, bald eagles, and more, not to mention amazing landscapes. Yellowstone is an area of unrivaled geothermal wonders and fantastic scenery. We also offer hiking as part of our Yellowstone trips. Fly-fishing on the Snake or riding ATVs in the National Forest are other excellent options. During winter, choose a guided snowmobile tour into the fabulous Teton back country or Yellowstone National Park. Our tours offer the opportunity to enjoy wildlife and scenery or powder and off trail riding. If snow machines are not for you, we also offer snowcoach tours into Yellowstone National Park.

Just spent the day with guide Jeff, and six other riders. Although the weather was flurries and overcast, a great long day. Scenic Safaris does a great job. Pick up at my door, nice van ride up to Flagg Ranch. Good buffet breakfast, good outfits (boots, suit, helmets), newer snowmobiles, stops for photos and warming up, lunch, then riding back. Noteworthy tips, you can't wear too many layers under the suit, I had a full ski outfit on. I would recommend wearing your own zero degree hunting boots, better than the rubber ones they provide. Special treat are the heated handles, the driver does not need hand warmers. The passenger needs more warm clothing than the driver. This is a bucket list trip, Yellowstone in the winter!!!

My husband and I shared a snowmobile and thoroughly enjoyed this 90 mile trip to see Yellowstone without the crowds. Seeing the thermal features in the winter was so cool. The 200 degree hot pools had steam coming off and formed beautiful droplets on the plants near them. We also got to see a herd of about 75 bison. We, of course, saw Old Faithful which was great! Biscuit Basin's pools were my favorite. The colors were absolutely stunning. Operating the snowmobiles was fun and easy to learn. I'm glad we shared a machine because my hand and forearm got a bit tired from holding down the accelerator. We had Christian for our tour guide and he was superb. He made sure we were safe, well informed, and saw what we wanted to see. Even though much of the trip was through quite a bit of snow, it was a wonderful adventure and I highly recommend it. I do recommend dressing very warmly. I wore my full ski outfit of long johns, ski pants, insulating layers and ski jacket under the snowmobile suit and was quite comfortable. I tried my ski goggles but preferred the helmet's protection from the elements rather than my goggles.

Our group of 4 had a wonderful time, Rhys, our guide was great too! We had a blast on the half day trip, just the amount of time in the cold temps. It even snowed while we were riding, which only added to the journey. The have new snowmobiles, all in perfect condition, and the handwarmers kept us from being too cold. We visited in February, temps were cold, but honestly, even without their snowsuits, were plenty warm. Would highly recommend Scenic Safaris and plan to use them again next trip into Yellowstone.

We had a group of 10 take the Half-day UTV tour with a guide out of Jackson in early July.
I am adding this review so that you won't be surprised like we were about one key aspect. The good news is that the reservations team was very helpful and the UTVs were brand new.
We spent nearly half of the 4 hour tour on paved roads. Let me explain...
We left the Scenic Safaris location in Jackson for a 30 minute drive on city roads to reach the park entrance. Then another 20 minutes on paved park roads with other cars/trucks. Needless to say our group was getting bored by the time we made it to the trails. Once on the trails, and not dealing with other cars/trucks, the adventure was fun as we climbed through the mountains to reach a beautiful view. The bummer was that we had to return the same way, no new scenery and another 50 minutes or so of paved roads to get back to the store.
I reached out to the company after to find out if they had another half day tour that was mostly on trails and I didn't hear back from them. For over $100 per person, our group of 10 was disappointed with only about an hour of new sights on the trails.

We went on this tour on Christmas Eve, it snowed quite a bit, but that did not stop us from seeing the sights. Our guide, Chris was a knowledgeable and experienced guide. He timed the eruption of Old Faithful in order for us to have a quick lunch, not rushed, and also be able to see some of the other sights, including the Fountain Paint Pots, which, if you like the mud pots, this was very much appreciated, and also took us to see the beautiful Firehole Falls, Chris did not mind to take photos of the tour participants at the Yellowstone National Park sign, which makes for a great souvenir. Keep in mind, it is a long day, but a great tour well worth the time.

We booked a Yellowstone snow coach for 12/22 and had a deeply disappointing experience involving an employee named “Mandy”. It was less than 24 hours before our scheduled excursion and we hadn't heard from the company. I called to find out our pickup time and Mandy answered the customer service line. She said that the trip may not even happen (due to weather) and that it was up to the National Park Service. I asked her when we should expect to know and she scoffed at the question, finally saying 5PM. I didn’t understand the attitude or her rude responses. I wondered if it started happening as soon as she found out our Latino last name. I totally understood the weather, but not the lack of communication. I asked if we would at least receive a phone call or text when they found out and she said we would. 5PM came and went without anything. We had no idea if our trip was still happening. I called back and the business was closed.
I finally reached the company in the morning and explained that I never received a confirmation call or text as promised, and had no idea if our trip was still happening. Mandy’s rude attitude continued and said it was. So now we had less than 30 minutes to pack and get ready for the excursion. I asked where we should meet the driver at our hotel and she acted like it was the most ridiculous question. When I asked her why we didn’t receive the confirmation like she had promised, she lied and said she called everyone the night before. When we had called back and the business was closed? If that were true, why would I be calling again. Throughout the phone call, Mandy maintained a defensive, unapologetic attitude. Never once did she say sorry or try to remedy the situation. When my husband was on the phone with her, she finally said the phone call to us “may not have happened”.
Working in customer service/tourism is clearly not for her. Should Scenic Safaris continue to employ Mandy, her unprofessional behavior will continue with more customers to come. Save yourself unnecessary stress on your vacation and take your money elsewhere - to a company who at least provides a basic level of customer service.

The beauty and magic of Yellowstone National Park cannot adequately be conveyed by words or an online review. Geysers, exotic wildlife, snow covered mountains, steam pits of varying colors, and breathtaking views are just the few of the things that we experienced on our 3 day snowmobile trip through Yellowstone. Our trip with Rhys ( pronounced Reese ) of Scenic Safaris began in Wyoming with a short safety demonstration on our first day. From there, he guided us through sites and places that couldn’t be accessed in a tour van. Bison, Coyotes, Elk, Bald Eagles, and even Wolves were just a few of the alluring animals that we saw as we crossed the Continental Divide and made our way deep into Montana. The majestic mountains, the frozen lakes, and numerous waterfalls and cascades were only outmatched by the passion and knowledge of our guide. Rhys was eager to get started each day because he had so many exciting things to show us. We covered a total of 285 miles over the three days, took in excess of 500 pictures, and were the envy of our friends at home as we posted pictures of our adventure. We began each morning with a hearty breakfast, stopped every day for an excellent lunch, then finished off every evening with a first class meal at posh restaurants. The hotel accommodations each night were first class, and the snowmobiles were in excellent condition and they were so exciting to drive. We cannot say enough good things about this once in a lifetime trip.

We travelled all the way from Australia to visit Yellowstone. In advance, we booked a snowcoach shuttle from Flagg to Old Faithful Snow Lodge for February with Scenic Safaris. Scenic Safaris mistakenly booked us for our Feb dates in March, despite us communicating via email and phone that we wanted to book in for Feb. We only discovered this after arriving in Flagg, and Scenic Safaris accused us of making the error, and the Branch Manager refused to co-operate with us to find a compromise that would work. Due to this, we were unable to visit Yellowstone, and have wasted thousands of dollars in flights, accommodation, taxis and other travel costs.
To date, we have had no resolution from Scenic Safaris, and no offer of alternative services, refunds or anything to make up from this ludicrously terrible experience.
DO NOT BOOK. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

After much searching, we landed on Scenic Safaris for a Yellowstone snowcoach tour.
As a former white water guide, I am always picky on these types of trips and I must say, this one was a home run.
Brett was our guide for the trip and was knowledgeable, entertaining and truly went out of his way to cater to all the guests on the trip. He made a great itinerary, stopping at spots with no traffic to give us a truly unique experience. He was very interactive with our 5 year old who said that’s his favorite part of our trip.
From the West Thumb, to the waterfalls, Old Faithful and even exploring a frozen lake, this was a truly unique trip that was a winter wonderland. We even saw a surprise large herd of bison!
I would highly recommend Brett as a guide and we will take Scenic Safaris for a snow mobile tour when our son is old enough.
5/5

We booked a private Yellowstone snowmobile tour- old faithful from 6am -6pm and it was he highlight of our trip! Our tour guide Brammer “aka Justin” was absolutely amazing! From the time he picked us up from our hotel at 6am, till the time he dropped us back off at 6pm he was joy to be around. He made the process of getting our snowmobile suits, the ride to Yellowstone, and the whole snowmobiling experience absolutely amazing. Snowmobiling through Yellowstone was a dream come true and it felt like you had the whole park to yourself. He knew all the cool spots, including a slide down the waterfall. Do not hesitate to book this tour!

Hi - our family of 6 adults is planning to trip to Jackson in early June and want to rent a 1/2 day side by side on our own (not sure if it would be a six seater or a 4 and 2). Is the experience more about sightseeing, and you can take the trails slow if its too bumpy, or is this more of a fast bumpy exhilarating experience. We have a couple adults who are concerned about the bumpiness because of a sensitive lower back and one who is newly pregnant. I guess too slow could end up being against the 1/2 day time limit. We were thinking we'd do the trails closest to Jackson. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I checked with the guide we were with for snowmobiling. She said “the side-by-sides are really bumpy.”

Heading to the Tetons in early September & am interested in a full day side-by-side rental or tour. I want to rent/my husband wants to do a guided tour. He is afraid of breaking down/getting lost/bears etc but I think it will be fine if prepared (maybe I'm naive?). Anyway, how "safe" would we be taking off on our own? We did a guided side-by-side tour of Hell's Revenge last September and (although terrifying at times) loved it. Are there good (& safe) trails for us to follow that will provide good scenery & a little adrenaline if we were to rent instead of book a tour? Price difference is pretty significant so that's a factor in my mind as well. Thanks!

We didn’t do snowmobiles but sounds very fun and your GoPro would capture it all!

We are going snowmobiling next week in Jackson Hole! Which tour should we do? Also how far in advance will we need to book?
Written January 10, 2019
If u are physically in good shape and have done snowmobiling before (even if not) book the Togwotee pass Powder tour. Physically the most challenging tour as u spend a great deal of time standing on the snowmobile, - vs sitting on most other tours. In fresh powder snow, you need to do a lot of weight distribution and standing, u can do so better. The scenery is out of this world. We did not even attempt to take pictures. I just had tears in my eyes moved by the beauty.
Ask for guide Chris and book right away. They are just heading into their main season. We had 3-5 feet of snow. They consider that the beginning of the season; gets to be 6+ feet.
U’ll have the experience of a life time.
Hope that helps. Chris is a tour guide x 22 yrs and only does that area. He’ll bring u places unimaginable.

Hello there, If you want to go all out and not afraid to get tired, I suggest to take the full day Yellowstone tour. In terms of booking, earlier the better! Check for their availability. Have fun.

We are a family of 4 adults and one 10 month old baby. We will be coming next week. Can the tour accommodate all of us together and will the baby be able to not be in a car seat through the tour? We don't think he would be happy all day in a car seat. Also the mommy is pregnant. Will there be enough room for us all to move around as needed in Van or is this time of year too busy for this luxury?
Written March 9, 2017
Yes the vehicle is roomy. However as far as the baby being in a caqr seat I would recommend calling the company to inquire with them.

We are going to Jackson Hole in August. I would like to know how much walking and stair climbing is involved. I am 73 and I have titanium knees and hip. I want to be prepared.
Written February 24, 2017
If you are planning to walk round town there is not much stair climbing in town. The town area is not real large it is on the small town size. Everyone in town is pleasant and friendly. A few businesses have some stairs but not all of them. As for site seeing in the area you will be out in the National Park either on dirt trails and roadways. Also if you are taking any site seeing tours I recommend reading up on the companies they list on their web sites what you will encounter on your trip. If going to Yellowstone you will have some stair climbing depending on which thermo features you visit. If going to the Upper & Lower Falls there is stair climbing there.

My husband and I are going on the 2 day/3 night Yellowstone trip Feb. 4-6. 1) Would a duffel 26" long, 15" deep and 13" wide fit on the back of the machine for 2 riders? Thought we would stand it up on its end and bungee cord it to the machine. 2) When we ride up to Flaggers Ranch from Jackson can we carry our layers and is there a place to dress when we get our snowmobile suites? Thought we'd be too hot fully dressed on the ride up and to eat breakfast if we put all the layers on for the negative degree weather. 3) Is the snowmobile suites a coat and pant or overalls? We will have our ski coats to begin with and wondered if we had coats with our snowmobile suites that we could not need to take our ski coats with us (just wear the snowmobile jacket as our coat) and can we leave the ski coat at Flaggers? How does all that work ?
Looking forward to the trip. Barbara

I don't know how you propose to get to Flagg. We booked a tour from Jackson. The tour company with the guide also being the driver of the van and leader of the snow mobile group picks you up at your hotel in Jackson between 6 and 7 am . It's about 90 minutes to Flagg and there after a hot breakfast you get kitted out with an all in one snow suit, boots, helmet ( quite heavy) and gloves if necessary. It's also advisable to take a balaclava, snow goggles , sun glasses and hand and toe warmer packs as the tour is about 6 hours on the snow mobiles and it can be VERY cold. Yes there is room for a duffel bag on the bag of the machine. The suit goes over everything including your overcoat or ski jacket. I was very warm for most of the time except my hands did get cold at the end but the handle bars for the driver and passenger are heated ( or supposed to be). Its a long day but very thrilling and a great experience. Don't plan anything strenuous for the next day as you may feel pretty wrecked!
Written January 17, 2017
Would you recommend snow coach or snowmobile for Yellowstone?
We thought we might do also do snowmobiling trip nearer to Jackson as a day trip.
I look forward to your advice
Regards
Sue
Written January 10, 2017
Yes it's a long trip on the snow mobile. Fantastic experience but quite physical in the sense you won't be good for much the next day except a few hours in the hot tub! It's about 6 hours on the snow mobile and if you are being picked up from Jackson it's basically a 12 hour day including the travel to Flagg, breakfast, being kitted out , waiting around at the end for every one to get changed, drive back to Jackson. But it's a once in a life time trip!
