- HoosierDaddy2College Grove, Tennessee9 contributionsRodeo FunWe bought the covered seats and didn’t have trouble finding a spot even thought we arrived at 7:55 pm. It was entertaining from start to finish. The announcer did a great job of commentating and keeping the audience involved. The cowboys, bull riders, barrel racers, and bucking cowboys are all impressive athletes. Totally recommend, daughters age 16 and 19 enjoyed the show and enjoyed wearing boots and cute outfits.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 23, 2024
- Anita S2 contributionsDon't miss the rodeo.I have been to several rodeos and this one was well run. The real deal. This is not a rodeo "show", but a competition where prize money is up for grabs for these cowboys/girls. Bones are likely broken each night. The animals were all of high quality and well cared for. The various events are smoothly transitioned at a fast pace. Never a dull moment or a lull in the action. Fun for the whole family and kid participation is part of the show.Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 13, 2024
- Glacierliana7 contributionsRodeo funFirst time at a rodeo and much more entertaining than we expected. We enjoyed the family ambience. The commentator/MC was excellent getting everyone involved and explained all the events too. Beautiful setting with mountains all around. Efficient parking system too. Everyone had a good time!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 23, 2024
- MyBucketListTrips409 contributionsGo at least once for the full Jackson experienceWe have attended several rodeos across the US, and Jackson is our favorite. This was our second time attending the Jackson rodeo. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of a large group of drunk, obnoxious college boys next to us. They were sold way too much beer at the rodeo concessions booth. Many families around us with young children also seemed displeased with their rowdy and inappropriate behavior. Despite the distractions they caused, overall we enjoyed ourselves.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 18, 2024
- FLgirl222Naples, Florida90 contributionsFun evening at the rodeo!!!!We had the pleasure of enjoying the rodeo while in Jackson. We did the VIP experience and had a blast! I highly recommend the VIP!! Our tour host, Brit, was fabulous! We had a behind the scenes experience that was such an amazing event! We learned all about what goes on at a rodeo before and during. Everyone working and participating in the rodeo were so friendly! I am so thrilled we decided to do this as we had never been to a rodeo! Don't miss it ! You will have a wonderful time!Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 24, 2024
- 4youFromJen164 contributionsAmazing fun VIP behind the chutes tour excitement!! Highly recommendVIP behind the chutes tour should be a must for you!! This was our first experience to see a rodeo & boy did they set the bar high!! From initial phone call, to arrival, concessions staff, tour guide, oh my goodness…so friendly…everyone working here!!!! Very welcoming and informative. What an exciting, thrilling experience. Our tour started behind the chutes, learning about the riders & bulls & how things run. We walked through to see the bulls &up close & got pictures. We watched in a box above the chutes & talk about up close!! Amazing!! We got to sit on a bull, wow!! I’m still feeling my nervousness, anxiousness and pure amazement how the riders do it!?!? This tour also included drinks & delicious food at concessions. The announcer was great throughout the rodeo. We are still talking about how much we enjoyed this rodeo experience. Highly recommend!!Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 25, 2024
- Kathy M26 contributionsFun at a reasonable priceThis was our first time at a rodeo. It was lots of fun watching the competitions. The announcer was great at explaining each event so we could understand what we were seeing. We bought a couple of burgers and beer for a reasonable price. We’d visit again if we travel back to Jackson in the future.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 7, 2024
- Terry WDallas, Texas44 contributionsDefinitely a must do while in Jackson.Had a great time at the rodeo benefiting the Shriners hospital. We went on a Friday night 9/6/24 arrived around 7:15 had covered seating with plenty of seats to choose from not a bad seat in the house. Show was very well run with plenty of non stop action. The small kids riding were great , lots of future cowboys in the making. We stayed at the Virginian Lodge which made for easy in and out to the rodeo. Highly recommend going if in Jackson and the rodeo is going on .Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 12, 2024

Maybe we are spoiled coming from Texas but our family felt this was a fun event but extremely over priced. $35-38 a ticket (even kids) is too much to watch high school kids ride bulls. You can get a cheaper ticket to the Houston rodeo which includes an hour concert from a major artist. If you have never been to a rodeo, you will have a good time but it cost around $10-$20 a ticket.

Yeehaw! What a blast! This rodeo is a must see if you are visiting Jackson Hole! Running from May until August on Wednesdays and Saturdays (and Fridays also starting in June), you have many opportunities to go watch some great roughstock bucking in the bull riding, saddle bronc riding and bareback riding. They even have mini bulls for youth! My kids loved to be able to do the sheep scramble, which is where all the kids from the audience get to go in the arena and try and chase sheep and grab the bandana tied on their necks. So much fun! Locals and tourists alike love this rodeo! My daughters both want to be barrel racers when they grow up now because of the great cowgirls competing in the barrel racing!
You will love it!!

This was a fun activity for my family including two young kids. This was the first time any of us had been to a rodeo and we all had a nice time. The rodeo clown did fun crowd participation activities in between events, but there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of filler. There were a lot of contestants and a range of events. Get there by 7:30 if you want your pick of seating, though it’s small enough that there’s not really a bad seat in the house. Sit on the west side if you want to avoid the glare of the setting sun while waiting for the rodeo to start.

Great time at the Jackson Hole Rodeo, Jackson, WY, especially if you have never been to rodeo. The evening of 11 Aug 2021, our family of 5 (which includes a 4 year old) really enjoyed the amazing bull riding, roping, racing, etc. it was a beautiful evening and the announcers kept us entertained and advised regarding the events and riders. Great music and lots of laughs. Before the rodeo started, they had a mechanical bull where our 4 year old was allowed to ride. The operator was great about keeping her safely on the bull, yet she was bronked and twirled and had a great time! Also, at one point during the rodeo, all of the youngsters, including our 4 year old and her father, went into the arena to chase a calf for a prize. It was all done very safely and they had a lot of fun. It seemed that everyone in the arena was truly enjoying themselves! Get there early for a good seat and to ride the mechanical bull. I would recommend a visit to the Jackson Hole Rodeo! GaryK, NY

True Americana. What a great experience for our kids and us. Really a professional rodeo with all of the entertainment. Did not disappoint at all. The kids rode the mechanical bull after for $10 and got a taste of how tough these cowboys are. Good family fun

Our sons, 6 and 10, had a great time at their first rodeo. We were initially disappointed because tickets sold out online, but we called the box office and they were excellent about accommodating us so we could attend on our last night in town. It was an entertaining show for the whole family and something we will certainly do again the next time we're in the area.

My husband, 14 year old son and I visited here on a Saturday night. There were at least 3 rodeos per week while we were in Jackson. There was bull-riding at the beginning, calf roping, bare-back bronco riding, etc. Then there was more bull-riding at the end. The announcer was good. He told corny jokes, and kept the crowd amused. He went through most states asking where people were from. It was interesting to hear that there were people from so many states there. However, he never mentioned SC, which disappointed our son for sure. Great thing to do one night while in Jackson.

2 adults and 2 teen boys. We had a blast. They do a great job of keeping you entertained between acts including crowd sing-alongs. Easy walk from downtown Jackson. One of my teens thought it was a very patriotic experience and said "every American should have to go to a rodeo". Highly recommend!

We went to this rodeo in late June 2021. My family had never been to one. It was fun to experience for the first time. We enjoyed the bull riding, but the horse riding and calf roping got a bit repetitive. I'm sure this is how it always goes, but I would have been ok with cutting 30 minutes out. We did really enjoy the crowd participation portion. That was fun and the crowd was really into it. Overall, I'd recommend it, but I would've been ok with sitting in the cheaper sections to cut down costs. Oh, and the food selection was great and unique...at least to a city boy like me!

This was admittedly our first rodeo & first visit to JH. We enjoyed the events and had an appreciation for the talent of the competitors after spending 2-hours learning the trucks of the trade at Intro to Rodeo. We loved the appreciation of the good ole USA and recognition of both our active service service members, veterans, & their families. Made me proud to be an American and the enthusiasm was contagious! A great way to start the night. Would we visit the rodeo again? Probably not, but it was a great experience and enjoyable night!

Is there any reserved or box seating for the July 4th rodeo? Thank you!

I am trying to get tickets for my family July 19th but my daughter is in a wheelchair. How can I guarantee an accesssible seat?
Written July 14, 2023
Are you allowed entrance to watch the rodeo if you arrive after the start at 8pm?

Curious if anyone can explain the process for purchasing the VIP Behind the Chutes experience? Those tickets/experience aren’t available on website and I’ve tried calling and emailing- no luck. Thanks!
Written April 22, 2022
I had the same question, which was answered by a friendly call to the main number... you need to call the number listed on the website (and hope for a call back, like I'm doing at the moment). Also, I understand tickets are about $175/person (compared to $35/45 for uncovered/covered seats). There also appears to be a limit of 12 VIP seats per night.

Should I purchase tickets in advance? We plan to be there June 19 and want covered area of the arena
