Super trip. Not for faint of heart.

Great trip. Trails are steep and narrow. Haven't been on a horse for over 20 years. Took a while for my comfort level to kick in 5 minutes or so. Awesome. Dinner was huge and... read more

Great trip. Trails are steep and narrow. Haven't been on a horse for over 20 years. Took a while for my comfort level to kick in 5 minutes or so. Awesome. Dinner was huge and everyone was SUPER friendly. Definite do again.

I have taken about 6 rides and meals with this family. The ride is spectacular crossing creeks and seeing the mountains and valleys. Also the meal is fabulous. Visit Mill Iron and enjoy it as I have for years.

This was an amazing ride. Our group included some who had never ridden, some children and adults of all ages. We all had a great time. Our wrangler Pete and the whole staff were wonderful. The views on the 2500 foot climb and from the peak were amazing. I highly recommend this ride.

Great ride up to the top, saw an owl on the way down. The horses are super friendly (Go for Ms. Piggy or Mr. T). Pete was wonderful!

Don't think twice about booking a trail ride and or dinner with the Mill Iron. We have been there twice now and loved every minute of it. Trail ride takes you through beautiful terrain with stunning views. Horses are very well trained. Guides are friendly and the steak dinner in the barn was a perfect way to end our evening.... More

The 2 hr ride is a ~ 2000 ft ascent to an inspiring view of the Teton Range. For us (novice riders), 2 hr was plenty because the descent is hard on the knees and back. The horses were very steady and our guide Cody was great, pointing out interesting history about the region, although I was at the back... More

Good times!! The 4 hour trail ride was perfect. Went over hills, grass lands, water, up mountains, and down mountains. There is really no better way to see the sights or a mountain. Mill Iron Ranch was great! The horses that the six of rode were matched up perfectly for riding experience. My favorite horse was Arrow, she is the... More

After an all-day rough hike the day before, I wanted a break but also wanted to be up in the mountains. After reading the reviews here about this ranch, I decided to go horseback riding with them. Absolutely LOVED my 2-hour ride up to the top of the mountains with over 2000 feet climb. The ride is through the forest... More

Why? Well the poor horses have to walk all the way down the decent in "1st gear", dragging their hoofs to check for loose stones and debris. Smart creatures. So the pluses: 1. scenery is picture book 2. Horses work tirelessly and appear well kept 3. Guide was knowledgeable but not over the top Two minuses: 1. Safety hats should... More

Great ride in dramatic and beautiful landscape, friendly and genuine guide, and string healthy horses. They needed to be to handle the ascent and descent! And the meal afterwards was yummy, generous with again friendly staff and the owner hanging with us adding his own flavour. Great outing.
