About
Grizzly Country Wildlife Adventures offers world class guided tours through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. Spend the day exploring Grand Teton National Park under the spectacular Teton Range looming overhead at 13,770 feet. Hear stories of fur trappers and mountain men that came into the valley to make a living and decided to lay down there hats in Jackson Hole and make a life in this sometimes harsh but beautiful climate. Make sure to keep a keen eye, there is nothing like being the first to spot one of the animals that reside in the Greater Yellowstone Eco System. Catching a black bear high up in a berry bush or spotting a Pronghorn, aka North Americas fastest land mammal, sprint through a meadow before your friends will definitely earn you some bragging rights on your trip! We will provide binoculars and your guide will set up a spotting scope so that you can see every little detail of these animals from a grizzly bear’s claws that can reach up to 4 inches long to the super soft velvet that cover the antlers of a moose’s paddles in the summer time. Or head up north into Yellowstone National Park and take in some 10,000 thermal features. You will see geysers that erupt 100 feet over your head and bacteria mats that are so colorful they rival fine art. Don’t worry about missing out on the animals listed above, they also call Yellowstone home and love to make an appearance on our tours. If you are lucky you could witness a bison taking a dust bath to keep away the bugs or watch a grizzly protect a fresh kill in the Hayden Valley. Americas first National Park covers an impressive 2,221,766 acres, so we want to make sure that you are well fed and comfortable throughout the 10-12 hour tour. Before you leave Jackson we will fuel up at a local coffee shop or market and just when the first tummy grumbles your guide will make a beautiful gourmet picnic lunch in one of the many pretty spots up in the park. We searched far and wide for a super comfortable ride to take our VIPS on tour and we landed in Ohio, home to the Explorer Van. Each of our Vans have leather captains chairs and raised roofs leaving you feeling like a million bucks at the end of a full day of touring. Yellowstone is like no place on earth making it a must see on your trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Our family of four (two adults, two teenagers) did the Sunrise Wildlife Safari in the Grand Tetons with Jeremy. The weather had been cool and wet (the big storms that affected Yellowstone were just the day before). We spotted a Grizzly (Blondie), and lots of pronghorn, marmots, and elk. We also appreciated Jeremy sharing with us the history of the Grand Tetons and its surrounding communities (we learned where the phrase "landslide victory" came from and visited Mormon Row and the homestead of the 2nd woman to ever ascend Grand Teton).

Be prepared with your expectations: the Grand Tetons is not a drive-thru zoo, and the wildlife are not there for our spotting entertainment. However, with a great guide like Jeremy, seeing wildlife really is just a bonus to getting to see the park and learn its history.

Our family took the sunset tour, and our guide knew areas of the park that we would have never known to check out, and took us down dirt roads when he sighted wildlife in those directions. The vehicle was very comfortable, even when being jostled on bumpy dirt roads. Soft, plush seats and large windows. I believe we saw it all! Bear, Moose, Fox, Bison, Elk, Crane, Birds of Prey, and Trout!

My daughter & I had the pleasure of participating in a photo tour with Daryl Hunter the morning of June 2, 2021. We were primarily "automatic setting" shooters but, by the end of the morning, Daryl had us shooting in manual mode only! His knowledge, his charm, his sense of humor & his brilliance as a photographer had us so delighted that we booked another tour with him for the following afternoon! Daryl took us to different sites over the two days, affording us breathtaking views & much anticipated wildlife. We even got to see #399 & her 4 cubs! I can't say enough about photographing with Daryl, & how cooperative Grizzly Country Wildlife was in meeting our expectations. I highly recommend this company & this photographer to anyone hoping to have a wonderful, memorable experience. JoAnne Gallaher

My family of five (kids 15, 14, 12) did the full day Grand Teton National Park Wildlife private tour with Grizzly Country Wildlife Adventures company. Our guide was Michelle and she was great. We were picked up at our VRBO in Teton Village at 7am and taken into the park. Michelle was great at pointing out sights we wouldn't have even noticed otherwise and gave us great narration of the wildlife and the land. She was knowledgeable about the wildlife and had a great spotting scope to get us up close views. She even helped with photos through the scope with my iPhone. Each of us was provided with our own binoculars and we saw elk, prong horns, bison, coyote, red fox, black bear, and missed a moose by seconds. It was a pretty warm day for moose. We were in a sprinter style van and had drinks, a great lunch by Jackson Lake, and were home by 3pm. I highly recommend this tour and company.

MIchael was a most knowledgeable guide.
Many animal sightings, provided opportunities to take pictures
Visited the key Yellowstone sights. Memorable experience at the Yellowstone Grand Canyon, provided pictures that members of group will allow friends and family to awe in the future.
However most memorable was our return trip thru Tetons, allowing a a sunset never imaged possible.

Michelle did a great job of providing information about Grand Teton, Yellowstone & the Jackson Hole area. Michelle has a great sense of humor and there were plenty of opportunities to look for wildlife and game, but would note you cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. I'd use this tour to get the lay of the land and come back for a more leisurely drive, hike, etc. on your own.

We did a lower loop all day tour of Yosemite. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about conservation and wanted to show us the incredible beauty of the park. We had children of all ages with us and our guide, Michelle did a great job adapting to the different questions and needs. It was a day we will not forget. I highly recommend this family owned business and their service. Outstanding

We had a wonderful tour. Jeremy was a great guide. We saw all the “must see” sites and Jeremy was very informative, and helped us see lots of animals. He also got us where we needed to go in an efficient manner, and allowed us to enjoy our trip without the stress of driving.

We had an amazing tour with our guide Jeff. He was very knowledgeable of the parks history and features. We were able to see bison, elk, a bald eagle, a glimpse of a moose, and many geothermal sites. Jeff got us in and out of many sites while avoiding crowds and letting us know about the best viewing areas.

Our tour was led by wildlife expert, historian and photographer Daryl Hunter. He was extremely knowledgeable about the geography of the parks, flora and fauna and the best photo spots for wildlife and scenic views. Daryl sets the bar high!
The tour van and viewing equipment were great. I highly recommend Grizzly Ctry Wildlife Adventures, reservations were easy and online communication was perfect.
