Our guide, Brian, was exceptional and grew up in Wyoming as a hunter and fisherman. He shared my passion, fishing for 68 years, of actually catching fish with all the means God has provided. My daughter and I book two days for my retirement gift and it was off the hook. I have caught fish all over the world in every fishing endeavor or style possible. Brian shared our passion and after a good day fly fishing with incredible cut throat trout on the Snake River, he had the courage to suggest lure fishing, on the same river, with Rapala lures. We were all in and the second day was epic. 30+ cutthroats, EACH, of all sizes including very large fish, and two times that in strikes!! We were blessed that guide had the courage to create an epic experience not worried that we were not "doing it with dry flies." I have been fish 68 years and would bel foolish to every fly fish the Snake River again...if I truly want to catch fish!!!

I’d like to start with the bad, then end on the amazing…

We walked into this adorable fly fishing shop, excited to start our day fishing with Walt and one of my VIP clients. We browsed the store and purchased some of the cool local fly fishing art…the stickers are fire here, along with other goodies.

We were greeted by somebody who wouldn’t help us do our license and frankly made us feel stupid for not wanting to or being able to do it online. Eventually he did it for us at the shop, after we told him we paid for a guide. The guy helping us, I believe it was Chris, grumpy pants we called him, proceeded to ask if we lived in Jackson. Said he was proud he didn’t. Meanwhile, I am entertaining a client that wants to move here and could not have been more rude and demeaning about our beautiful, ever changing community.

Thank goodness we had one of the most patient best guides in the business. My client/friend fell in love with fishing this day, after a few times with a guide last year. We slayed fish and ended our last day at the amazing Lava Creek Ranch. Our guide was so patient and spoke to a new fisherwoman in a way that I have never witnessed. She is hooked is coming back in September for more of the goods. Thank you, WALT!

We will be fishing again with your company, but wish you choose somebody with a little more enthusiasm and compassion for your front of the house. I’ve lived here for over 15 years and this is not your man…

Our family had a great experience with our guide Walt Moore with Grand Teton Fly Fishing. We had 3 beginner fly fisherman - my 9 year old daughter and her grandparents. Walt did a fantastic job teaching us the mechanics of fly fishing and was able to put us on several large rainbows. He was very patient with us and extremely knowledgable about where the fish are and what they would be eating at the given time of year. The snacks were great too! Would highly recommend Walt whether fishing with adults or young children. I would use him again as our guide in a heartbeat.

I can't say enough about our experience with Grand Teton Fly Fishing from our guide to the beauty of the Snake River it was a wonderful experience.
Our family had two boats one with my husband and one with my daughter and myself. Our guide Chris was awesome and made it the best fly fishing experience we have had. We caught numerous fish but that was not the best part- it was the knowledge he had, the great conversations and just the beauty of the surroundings. My husbands experience was just as pleasurable.
We will be back and will do a full day versus a half day!!

I went on a full day float fly fishing trip on the Snake River inside Grand Teton National Park on September 13, 2021. My guide was Chris Doeberl. I had a great time. Chris is a very experienced guide and an excellent teacher. I am an intermediate fly caster and he worked hard to improve my technique. The result was I caught several really nice cutthroat trout, not to mention all the ones I missed. Chris had me fishing dry flies all day which was really a lot of fun. Of course, it goes without saying, that the float down the Snake inside the National Park was breathtakingly beautiful, with the Tetons visible in the distance much of the time.

We could not have asked for a better guide than Chris Brylinski. Chris provided a wonderful experience - and catered our trip to accommodate both an expert fisherman (my husband) and a true novice (me). We caught fish in the double digits, but that thrill aside, the true joy was the float, Chris's knowledge and expertise of the water, and most importantly his ability to teach. He is a gifted guide and we will most assuredly use Chris again on future trips to WY.

Needed a fun birthday event for a former guide. Hooked up with Scott Smith at Grand Teton Fly Fishing for an amazing day of ice fishing. Our group of 4 caught 10 fish between us and everyone got a hookup. Scott made sure we all knew what we were doing and drilled as many holes in the ice as we needed to keep moving around and hitting fish. Lunch was hot and kept us going. Scott had good tech so we could see the depths and with his camera, sometimes a fish! All the fish were Rainbows in the 2 to 3 pound range.

Want a good time? Hook up with Scott on a different kind of fishing!

My son (10 y/o) and I booked a 1/2 day trip with Luke. He was a very patient and extremely knowledgeable guide. We had a fantastic experience on the Snake river near the Oxbow bend and caught 10 fish despite our inexperience. Catching trout with the Grand Tetons in the background and bald eagles overhead was a truly magical experience. Highly recommended!

I am not one to leave reviews. I have never felt my experience has left me with much to add from what people before me have written; however, when you spend countless hours and days researching and reading reviews to insure that a once of a lifetime trip will meet your expectations and book based on those reviews only to have the experience exceed and be even better than anything you could possibly wish for…you have to pay it forward and make sure the next person has just as good if not better (although I’m not sure how that would be possible) time!

I took this trip with my 77 year old father that grew up fishing Muskies in the northern lakes of Wisconsin. When I mentioned a trip fly fishing the Snake, he had some reservations as he had never fly fished and wondered if the day would be wasted trying to teach an old dog new tricks. I then came across a review that mentioned a guide, Brian, and the experience one gentleman had lure fishing. I called and put in my request and asked if it would be possible to go down the Snake casting with Brian, if so, we would definitely want to book a day on the Snake. We weren’t guaranteed Brian was going to be available but the day before, I got a phone call and as soon as the introduction had taken place, I knew my dad was going to have a most memorable day fishing and that he/we did!

Brian asked if we were open to starting early, which we were, so we met him at 6:30 at Deadman’s Bar. We dropped off the car and headed north to the park to drop the boat. It was a chilly 35 degrees when we launched and nothing was more beautiful than seeing the cool air hit the warmth of the river. My dad started casting after we got down the river a ways but I was content to take in the views around me and photograph a couple of eagles perched on a bank and the being at peaceful tranquility all around me. It wasn’t long before a fish hit the line and then another and another. All in all, I think we caught a couple dozen fish throughout the day. Brian knew exactly where to throw in the line, he knew the river as only one could know having fished it all his life. Afterwards my dad said, “you know he has spent a lot of time out here because when I thought the right side was where I should have put in my line, he said, ‘go to the left’ and that’s where the fish hit.”

I eventually picked up a pole and caught a few fish which made my dad’s day, and Brian’s too. It’s been a week since our venture and sitting back home in Wisconsin, I only have to close my eyes and be transported back to one of the best days of my life!! If you are a fisherman and a hunter and want a guide that is passionate about both, Brian is your guy!

My father and I love to fly fish and routinely hire guided trips. This was our first time fly fishing in Jackson Hole (there this past September 2019) and we booked a full day guided boat trip with Brian, who was one of the best guides we've experienced. Brian was professional, knowledgeable and taught us how to fly fish using grasshoppers - so much fun! He really impressed us with his expertise and local insights to the area. My father is an advanced fly fisherman (I am not...), so I always appreciate a guide who can acclimate to both of our skill levels.

We had such a fantastic experience, that I wanted to buy a hat for my Father for Christmas. I inquired about any merchandise for sale, but unfortunately was told that the store was closed for the winter season. Living in North Carolina and my Father in New Mexico, I was really kicking myself for not buying a hat while we were there. To my surprise, a couple days later I got another email offering to send my father a hat, as the owner had a couple at his house! Wow!!! I cannot express how thankful I am for this act of kindness. We will be back!
