Stacy was exceptional in helping us plan these two 12-hour days and recommending additional things to do while we were visiting the area. He handled our private tours personally and was a wonderfully informative host throughout each of the long days. His many stories and varied background made the long days seem to fly by as we were continually entertained and educated. The meals provided were top notch and every detail was handled flawlessly. Stace is the very best!

We had a wonderful tour. Etai was very nice and very knowledgeable about the park and nature in general. He showed us everything we wanted to see and even a couple of things that we had never even heard of! Breakfast and lunch were fantastic and we were extremely satisfied with this tour.

Absolutely amazing tour with Ted. We did the Yellowstone and Grand Teton tours with him. He was very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. We saw tons of wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Would recommend these tours and Ted to everyone. A fabulous experience.

This is a wonderful tour! Our guide picked us up and dropped us off. Talk about curb service! The company itself stayed in touch with us until we got into the car. We appreciated that. It’s nice to be kept informed.
I cannot say enough about our driver and guide. Ltai was extremely accommodating, knowledgeable and easy to be around. We saw so many beautiful sites that pictures do not do it Justice. Ltai made sure we saw everything and was on time exactly for Old Faithful. The bees hives gyser (beside Old Faithful) erupted while we waited on Old Faithful. That one is mind blowing and most commented on how they enjoyed the Bee Hive Gyser better. It was higher and longer. But Old Faithful was fantastic as well.
Take this tour when in Jackson hole. You won’t regret it. Ask for Ltai.

Our experience started with angry text messages from Stace telling us he could not pick us up earlier than 7 AM. We said we understood his busy schedule and were ready to meet him at our ranch in the morning. Stace was delayed due to hitting a deer on his drive to our location. He was in a horrible mood and everyone in our group could tell. He said that he did not need to do any more tours this year, and was burnt out. It would have been nice to have been given the option to cancel as the tour was horrible. No one in our group wanted to talk to Stace. He talked about himself and other groups the entire day. Our little one liked getting gifts from him but was so tired from walking around thermal springs that she was not even interested in Old Faithful by the time we got there in the afternoon. Due to walking around the Old Faithful Inn for 30 minutes, we were not able to see Grand Prismatic Springs as our 6 year old and 70 year old were too tired to walk another 25 minutes and then drive another 45 minutes for our drop off.
Lunch was good from Ernie's.
We have taken different tours around the world and this was by far the worst tour I have ever taken. I would not recommend this tour or company to anyone.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your experience with us a few years ago. We appreciate your insights, and we want to address the concerns you raised. First and foremost, I want to extend my sincere apologies for any disruptions you experienced during your tour. Unfortunately, on the day of your visit, I was involved in a high-speed wildlife-vehicle accident while traveling to meet you. If not for being a professionally trained driver, I could have easily rolled my vehicle in a ditch. Rolling a high-roof, 15-passenger vehicle at 70 mph would have been very bad. This, coupled with the shocking news of a dear friend's (self-inflicted) passing, whom I had seen and conversed with the morning before, undoubtedly affected my demeanor and contributed to a less-than-ideal experience for you and your group. I want to assure you that the safety and satisfaction of our guests are our top priorities. In light of this incident, we've implemented new protocols to ensure the safety of both our guests and our team: 1. We no longer allow our guides to drive to meet guests one hour before sunrise or 30 minutes after sunset to reduce the possibility of having a wildlife-vehicle accident in low-light situations. They will, instead, stay at a hotel near the guests the night before. 2. If a guide has an accident or is notified of a life-changing personal tragedy while en route to meet a guest, we will cancel the tour and refund the guest's money. This is to prioritize the safety and well-being of all involved. 3. We utilize satellite communication devices to have real-time knowledge when Old Faithful erupts, ensuring optimal timing for our visits and enhancing your overall experience. 4. Our team (myself included) was overworked due to record numbers of early-season visitors to the region and guest bookings in the waning phase of the COVID pandemic, exacerbated by being severely understaffed like many small businesses in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. We actively address seasonal staffing issues with contract staff to ensure a better guest and staff experience. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or discomfort caused by the events of that day. Losing a friend is never easy, and I understand how my demeanor may have affected your experience. It was a challenging time, and I regret that our guests did not receive the care and attention they deserve. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to learn and improve from it. Wishing you all the best in your future travels and endeavors. Warm regards, Stacy C. We very much enjoyed our tour guide, I’m so mad I can’t remember his name so I will post picture, He was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He showed us so much more of the Grand Tetons National park that we didn’t know existed. We will be back! We even took a picture through his telescope of and eagle with my phone because my good camera broke the day before. Do yourself a favor and don’t eat breakfast. They provide great lunches!

Ted Jackson was the name of your guide. Notwithstanding that he's a geologist by trade, we think he's an awesome gem (pun intended) and we're stoked that you think the same way. Come back and see us again soon, and bring a few friends. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stacy

So you’ve made the trek to the Grand Tetons, or Yellowstone, now what? You hop on Al Gore’s internet and book an exciting excursion with Obsidian Cliff tours, of course. We were met at our hotel, on time, by our tour guide Ted. If you think you know the great outdoors in Jackson hold your Buffalos there partner. Ted took us back to college geology explaining, throughly, how the Tetons were formed and pointed out a bunch of great land features, but don’t worry, it didn’t stop there! Ted escorted us to ALL of the local cool spots while also acting as our personal photographer.

We were treated to the valley floor as well as a view from above, which was pretty cool. It’s apparent Ted really enjoys his job and that translated into a great tour. While we saw many great things, we about got skunked on wild animals. Interesting how Ted couldn’t just make wild animals appear, he should work on that :). However, Ted made every attempt to get us to see some local residence. We did see a bald eagle (‘Merica!), a Crane, and some Swans. Then, when we about called it a quits, and we’re leaving the park for our hotel what did we see... A MOOSE! And that Moose saved the day. Not really, the day didn’t need to be saved because we had such a great tour, but it was the cherry on top.

What an awesome TripAdvisor review. It totally warmed our hearts and made us laugh quite a bit too. We're so glad the "moose saved the day" and that you were able to do a deep dive into the geomorphology of the Tetons. Come back an see us again soon and bring a few friends. Stay safe. Stay healthy. And, happy trails.

My daughter and I went to Yellowstone this summer for the first time. We were fortunate to have MELINDA LEE as our tour guide. We met at an ungodly hour at the hotel and spent the following 11 hours together. My attention span is not great however the 11 hours passed quickly because of Melinda. She understood our goals of the trip and catered to them. Her depth of knowledge was incredible, full range of history, geology, importance, and incredible beauty of Yellowstone. My daughter and I realized that she answered every single question easily within an a remarkable depth of knowledge. We had a fantastic time, we were truly impressed. Thanks Melinda

My husband and I had a great time on our full-day tour with Ted. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions about the geology and history of the area. He moved us efficiently through the lower loop and would sometimes drop us off to see the sights while he found parking, which really helps due to traffic congestion in the summer. He also went out of his way to give us every opportunity to view wildlife, including several quick turn-arounds on the road, which we appreciated. It was fun looking through his viewing scope, and he sent us a bunch of great pictures immediately after the tour. Taking the tour allowed both my husband and I to enjoy the sights instead of worrying about navigation and traffic, plus we leaned a lot. Snacks were a nice touch. Having Ted drive the 2 hours back to our lodge while we napped in the car was wonderful after a long day! We also enjoyed meeting the owner Stacy at a stop in the park.

We had a fantastic experience with our guide Brittney! She did an amazing job. We wanted to see some wildlife (bison), and visit the waterfalls. The tour exceeded all our expectations. We've seen bison, bear, eagle, elk, and moose. Brittney guided us through all significant points, showed us interesting places, and told us everything and more, including the history of Yellowstone Park. We've asked additional questions about nature, wildlife, park and got detailed answers. The most beautiful vistas (Grand Prismatic, Old Faithful, Artist Point, Hayden Valley) with an educated, experienced guide who loves sharing her knowledge with people and showing the beauty of nature, what could be better? We highly recommend this tour. Lucky that Brittney was our guide, and thanks to everyone at Obsidian Expeditions who made this trip happen!
